Fellowship Park

Reviewed By craigw122 - Cape Coral, United States

We have been attending Cape Christian Fellowship since they used to meet in a school. It totally blew us away when they said they had enough money a few years ago to expand the size of the sanctuary so we could have only one Sunday service instead of three. We also have a service on Friday evenings for those who can't be there on Sunday.BUT, our church leaders decided to build Fellowship Park instead to share this space with EVERYONE in the community. A super great and safe playground, wonderful splash park and a great coffee shop plus other amenities have been provided to share. Also, a huge baptismal outdoor fountain was built to share with other churches in the area. It is beautiful and a testament to Cape Christian's commitment to Love God, Love People.

This is a beautiful small city where nearly every home has access to the Gulf of Mexico right in their back yard. If you love to go boating this is the place for you. The cost of visiting or especially living is very very reasonable. The people are nice and very friendly. The coldest winter temperature is not very often below 50 degrees. Swim year around, citizens grow oranges, grapefruit, avocados, mangos, bananas, tangerines, lemons, limes and mangos right in their back yard. This place should be called paradise.

With the lovely Westin resort and it's top notch restaurant (Marker 92) and fun outdoor bar (Nauti Mermaid) offering great food, lovely views of the Caloosatchee River and the marina, it can transport you to another world. Additionally, along with the shops, there are other good restaurants as well, such as Gather, a funky, noisy fun place that holds wine tasting parties, and Pinchers Crab Shack, renown for its seafood. This is a great place to spend an afternoon strolling around, perusing the marina and shops, or party into the evening, with live entertainment at the Nauti Mermaid.

We likes this little park so much we went out of our way to visit again later in our FL trip. Only negative was all the road construction getting there. The park is a nice out-of-the-way place to relax and enjoy the water and the activity in the area.
