College of the Ozarks, known as "Hard Work U," is more than a college. It's a destination with tons of family-friendly activities, including two museums, an old-fashioned grist mill, fruitcake and jelly kitchen, stained glass studio, and exquisite 4-star dining at Dobyns Dining Room in The Keeter Center. It's a great way to spend a day while you are in the Branson area. The only thing that requires admission is the Ralph Foster Museum ($6 Adults, $5 Seniors, and Free to all 18 and under). Dobyns Dining Room offers a farm to table experience without breaking the bank. Come learn why this unique college is nationally known.
Here your self guided tour starts with a stop at the Public Relations office. They will explain the grounds to you and point out places to stop and see. They also provide you with a CD to put in your car that explains areas on campus, maps, and information brochures on the college. Located across the parking lot is the Missouri Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park. Driving into campus you can also see Edwards Mill, Lake Honor, Stained Glass and Candle Shop, Hoge Greenhouses, Gaetz Tractor Museum, Williams Memorial Chapel, Fruit and Jelly Kitchen, 9/11 Memorial, Ralph Foster Museum, Point Lookout, the College Creamery, and more!! We spent a good portion of our day here, including an AMAZING meal at the Keeter Center. Wear comfortable shoes and plan to get in and out of the car often. Students work in all of the buildings are are eager to explain their work to you. Everyone was extremely friendly. There was plenty of parking at all locations. Everything was free to do except the Ralph Foster Museum which charges $6.00 for adults. High School age and under are free.

Lilleys' Landing is a peaceful, scenic resort and marina on Lake Taneycomo five minutes from the middle of Branson. Lilleys’ rents jon, pontoon and bass boats for two hours, five hours or a full-day. Lake Taneycomo offers some of the best trout fishing in Missouri. Fishing from our dock is free. We have a fly and tackle shop with everything you need to fish Lake Taneycomo. Guided fishing trips are another great way to learn the lake and trout fishing!
We went visited Branson and we were looking for renting a boat to go fishing, after looking on several places, we found Lilley’s Marina and decided to give it a try. We rented a pontoon for 4 hours and it was amazing. The only tip I can give is that get there with some time before you start your trip for registration and buying fishing licenses (if needed)

This is a beautiful memorial that is maintained by volunteers. The tribute to all veterans is very nice and the flowers and plants are beautiful. There are plaques with different names and passages you can read as you walk through the area. You can park behind the park in a church lot. Follow the signs. Its just too bad it is on such a busy corner although this does allow viewing by thousands of people passing by.

Our 13 and 14 year old grandsons had a blast tubing here. You pay by the hour, so how many times down during that time depends upon the number of people tubing. They actually went down about 20 times. Discount coupons are available for this venue. This is really fun for people of all ages, we just decided to watch them have fun.

A highlight of the Silver Dollar City theme park, this constantly evolving wet limestone cave under the Ozark Mountains, dating back to the 1500s, provides a one-hour tour of fascinating rooms and passageways. The cave's entryway is the largest in the U.S.
This was a nice cave to tour! It does have a lot of steps and some places you need to duck down but the tour guides are very upfront about this when explaining the tour! Our 10 yr old had no problems with it and neither did we. We enjoyed seeing all the formations and our guide Michael was fun and informative.

Completed in 1958, this dam has a maximum height of 252 feet above the Table Rock River bed, extending 6,423 feet in length.
The dam created a very large lake that provides a playground for much enjoyment. The Branson Belle provides a great meal with an outstanding show while cruising on the lake for a little under two hours. There are always a lot of smaller craft on the lake for personal pleasure. There is a trout hatchery at the foot of the dam that is very interesting to visit(don't pass it up).

Lake Taneycomo is one of those hidden treasures of the Ozarks. Unique in its appeal for Trout fishing and boating, it also boasts a place of refreshing even on hot days of summer as the spring-like waters flow from the dam of Tablerock lake. If you love nature's beauty you will love Lake Taneycomo.
