Wow. Must visit. I did not expect this beauty. We walked for around 30 minutes with a very friendly and helpful local called Emil (look out for him) as it was too muddy to drive a scooter. I don't think we would have managed to go downhill without his help because it was very slippery. I couldn't believe that we had the place all to ourselves. In my opinion, the twin falls are more beautiful than Kawasan.

Alona Beach is overdeveloped, touristy, busy and tacky. By contrast, Dumuluan Beach - a 10 minute tricycle ride away - is quite, unspoiled and beautiful, with lovely sand, gently shelving, and clean azure blue water. There are eating and drinking facilities along the beach as well as large resorts where day entry can be available depending on the occupancy levels.

This will be an adventure for you. Can-umantad falls is the tallest, remotest falls of Bohol, Philippines. The usual Bohol itinerary will take you to the beaches of Panglao and the areas near Tagbilaran City at where you can visit the Loboc river, the chocolate hills and see the tarsiers. But if you have the time and the adventurous spirit, then exploring the eastern side of Bohol will challenge you. Rent a motorbike and drive from Tagbilaran or Panglao to Anda for 2 to 3 hours. We spent the afternoon there swiming in cave pools and swimming in virgin white sand beaches were there are no other souls. You may also reach this by bus. The following morning, we drove 30 minutes from Anda to Candijay where the falls is at. Then we took the rural road climbing up the mountain, it took us about an hour. Alternatively, you can ride a bus from Anda to Candijay and then a habal habal to the falls. Look for the Eleuterio farm where they serve meals, pricey though. There is a stairway there through a rice terraces going down to the falls. Alternatively, there is another route to the falls further up ahead. Just ask around. When you get there, it will be all worth it. There was nobody there but us when we finally arrived. Trully exotic. The height and power of this hidden natural wonder will reward your restless spirit!

The sanctuary a property of Philippine Tarsier Foundation which primary mission is to save the Philippine Tarsier, its habitat and other wildlife.
A great facility in the Bohol forest taking care of a good number of Tarsiers. You get a quick and efficient presentation of the animal and a chance to observe then close up in their natural habitat. A very nice experience which we recommend when in Bohol.

When you were in Bohol and you did not see the Chocolate Hills you were not really in Bohol. This product of nature really looks great and it’s not only a monument for Bohol also for the whole Philippines. At the Visitor-Center you have the chance to walk about 200 stairs, then you have a nice view from upstairs and there you can also see that they have many of this hills!

If you are sort of a daredevil then going to this place in Bohol is a must! Danao Adventure Park offers caving, zip-line, rappelling, kayaking and other high-adrenaline activities like my favorite, the plunge (a canyon swing adventure that calls for you to free fall for over 45 meters before being launched into a pendulum swing, 100 meters wide). Note: This ia not for the weak-hearted ones.
