Bay Canh Island is incredibly beautiful and fairly quiet because the number of visitors is restricted to preserve the delicate ecosystem. I highly recommend taking a snorkeling or diving tour and staying on the island until evening when the turtles arrive to lay their eggs. The best time to visit for this experience is August to September. The coral and fish in the area are beautiful and diverse because their ecosystem has been protected. The beach is also a wonderful place to relax and see shells.

Best way to meet new people and see new places in and around Vung Tau and Ba Ria province is to join VTH3 (Vung Tau City Hash House Harriers aka "Vung Tau Hash") any Sunday for an afternoon's run/walk and socialising. No membership fees involved, just a small run fee payable each time you join us (please register your intention to join a run via the run registration tool on our website - it's very straightforward). We have multinational membership and cater for all ages and fitness levels. "We run/walk/jog in any weather!"

I haven't been all the braches, but Dam Tram is the best one I visited in Con Dao. Long and nice beach, nearby is another hidden beach. More interesting you can watch the planes landing very closely, just a spectacular view!

Toward Ben Dam pier, after Shark Cape, you will see the beach stretching more than 1km. You can visit Bai Nhat anytime, morning, afternoon, but it's well known for sunset watching!

Binh Chau Hot Spring Resort offers an extraordinary balanced blend of all the gifts from nature. It is only here that you and your loved ones can enjoy uninterrupted peaceful moments while soaking in the fresh mineral stream to re-calibrate both body and mind. The warm water stream containing precious minerals from nature that encourage muscles and joints recovery, reduce pain or aches, reverse the aging process and give back to you soundless sleeps and rejuvenating getaway with the family.
We visited from Ho Coc Beach Resort and received a big discount when we showed our Hotel Card. Spent a relaxing day in the hot and cooler pools, a nice lunch and drinks bought there also. Very relaxing, nice clean modern facilities, locker and towels provided.

The National Park is worth a visit while you stay in Con Dao. With entrance ticket 60.000 vnd, you need at least 3 hours to do trekking there. The trails are easy to follow; the trees, the birds, the monkeys.. Very enjoyable. There are 3 beaches at the end when you go thru the park, so up to your time, you can choose Ong Dung beach, Bang beach or Dat Tham beach. I went to Bang beach, kind of remote and so quiet beach, great for photo shots.
