Huge museum, amazing exhibition halls, everything sehr explain, a wonderful way to get to know about the beginnings of Mexico's history and all about the prehispánico cultures, great guides, beautiful spaces, a shame the moctezuma´s headress is a copy, the original is in Vienna. Must visit!

Parque Museo La Venta

Reviewed By markpN8874JB - Denver, United States

This park is a combined zoo and archaeology park. The zoo is not so good but the archaeology park is phenomenal. The archaeology part is a collection of colossal heads and other 'sculpture' type pieces mostly from La Venta. I had not seen sacred columns before so I learned something here. Also this is the first place I have come across that described mosaic tiles in English. All other signage is also bi-lingual. I went during the day but based on all the lighting I saw it looks like it might be even more attractive at night.
