I just wanted to start off by saying we have visited this cemetery more than once around 4 times one of the times I went with my boyfriend and his brother and a few friends we were all standing in the back of the newer cemetery and we heard what sounded like something running up on us well no big deal but after that I could hear what sounded like a growing sound to say the least this stuff follows you home that night we got back my trash can lid flew off and I could hear a females voice in my daughters room as well as a similar blue light we saw that night in my hallway the last time we went we didn’t see much till the end when I and a few other people who showed up seen a tall dark figured man lurking in the corner of the old cemetery who seemed to be following my brother and my boyfriends brother the vibe I got from that dude was no less than evil when we got back too our house my tv was turning up on its own and my downstairs google was playing music this finally stopped after putting crosses up but if you don’t want this stuff following you home I wouldn’t recommend going

Enormous pink rock dome that rises 325 feet above a small stream.
We dd a great hike up to the summit mid-morning, thankfully before it got hot, then went around through the canyon trail and back around base trail. All told it was close to 3 hours. Be sure to have a pack and plenty of water, maybe a snack. Some great views all around.

This large desert makes up most of Big Bend National Park.
The Chihuahuan, the largest desert in North America, spans parts of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Mexico. There is no better place to enjoy the Chihuahuan desert than Big Bend National Park. As America's fifteenth largest national park, Big Bend is the largest protected portion of the Chihuahuan desert in the US. There are numerous desert hikes from easy to strenuous. Our group hiked Persimmon Gap Draw and the Upper Burro Mesa Pour-off Trails to name just a few. If you are a newbie to desert hiking, you might be surprised at how much water (2-3 liters), sunscreen (a lot), and adequate sun protection (hat/visor/bandanna) is required. My other surprise: the desert is not a barren expanse. Instead, it is green and lush, alive with colorful flowers and plants blossoming in unexpected places! It can also be extremely hot. Always keep an eye on the weather and plan your hikes accordingly.

Just driving by on IH 35 and hundreds of bats almost a black cloud emerging from under the bridge at sunset, was a beautiful site to see! Watched as long as I could and then still saw a few in the sky further down the road looking for their crowd! It was breath taking to see such a site of wild animals on the loose taking flight!

Mysterious dancing lights ("ghost lights") in the sky over Marfa after dark.
On advice of friends, we made a visit to the viewing center after it was dark. The center is a very nice facility with seats and restrooms. Did we see the lights? Nope. We did see some car lights off to the west, which some people insisted were lights. Don’t be fooled. As for the lights, it was overcast, but we had no luck. We still enjoyed it as so many people came out. Enjoy
