Scottsdale has more spas per capita than any other city in the U.S.—so whether you’re looking for the latest medi-spa technology or a new-agey, bohemian vibe, there’s sure to be something for you. It's a good thing, too—after spending all day touring the beautiful desert, you'll be grateful for some pampering.

This old school house features exhibits on Scottsdale's history, including its founding father Winfield Scott.
We really enjoyed this little museum. The building used to be the school house so includes a sample classroom you can view. You can even ring the old schoolhouse bell (and it's really loud)! The museum also includes pictures of the town in it's younger years as well as memorabilia. The Museum is free. It's worth a stop.

This is a very nice, FREE museum located not far from Fashion Square so great place for football fans to hang out while others are shopping. It is not very large, but gives a great history of the beginnings of the Fiesta Bowl up to current time. I really enjoyed the wall filled with football helmets of all the college football teams as well as the memorabilia from the early days. The staff is super friendly, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. This is a hidden treasure and a must do while visiting Scottsdale.

The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art champions creativity, innovation and the vitality of the visual arts. We seek both to build and to educate audiences for modern and contemporary art, as well as to provide opportunities for the artistic community--locally, nationally and internationally. SMoCA provides a memorable experience of art, architecture and design by exploring new curatorial approaches and by highlighting cultural context. We interpret, exhibit, collect and preserve works in these media. SMoCA's gift store is stocked with books on contemporary art, photography, architecture, design, pop culture and much more. Plenty of other signature merchandise abounds--whether you're looking for smart, modern home decor pieces, clever design accoutrements for your office space (or any space!), richly patterned stationery sets & postcards or one-of-a-kind jewelry, handbags and scarves--these pieces let you wear your artistic sensibilities on your sleeve.
You need to do some advance reading about James Turrell to have some pre understanding of his art work present here as a permanent installation Please do that The museum itself currently has a show on video art- you either love the medium or hate it Take a look and make up your own mind
