Surrounded on almost all sides by water, Port Townsend offers many places to launch your vessel of choice, from rowing scull to yacht. Frequent races, regattas and the annual Wooden Boat Festival testify to the relationship between land and sea. For the land lubbers, there are also numerous parks surrounding the city, including Fort Worden and Old Fort Townsend State Parks and, further away, Olympic National Forest. An artists' haven, the town is home to many galleries and a vibrant Art Walk.

Beautiful exhibits and great people. They open up and help with the Port Townsend Film Festival by providing a central location to pick up tickets and get information.

This place takes local teens, interviews them, and if accepted into the program they commit to 1 full day a week. In exchange, they learn how to actually 'restore' vintage airplanes, do office work, gardening, maintenance on the full facility, and get the chance to learn (FOR FREE!!!) how to become a full Pilot! We learned how 'many' of them upped their grades, went on to become scientists, pilots, etc! What an amazing place this is!!! Will be visiting it VERY soon! Can't wait!!!

Jefferson Museum of Art & History is located in Port Townsend's historic 1892 City Hall building. The Museum features award-winning exhibits that display our unique cultural history of Maritime, Native American, and Early Settler life throughout its multiple galleries. The historic courtroom is now an art gallery, displaying the works of noted regional artists. Once Port Townsend's Fire Hall, Courtroom, Jail and Police Station in the late 1800s, the building itself has many stories to tell! May through October the Museum offers historic walking tours of our beautiful Victorian seaside city. The Jefferson County Historical Society also operates the historic Rothschild House as well as the Commanding Officers Quarters at Fort Worden which are open to the public from May through September.
A very interesting museum and art gallery and part of a working town hall and court house,my favorite part was the old cells and horse drawn Hurst and carriage

Step through the kitchen door of the Rothschild House and step back to the 1800's. Located at the corner of Jefferson and Taylor Streets in uptown Port Townsend, the Rothschild House has been left as the family remembered it from its early years. As such, it is a surprisingly accurate reflection of our culture 100 years ago. The children's room looks like the children have just stepped out for a few minutes. The parlor waits for visiting callers. Outside, the roses of earlier generations still bloom; the herbs still rise in the springtime. Jefferson County Historical Society offers walking tours of Port Townsend's historic uptown. This tour, covering the "Moral High Ground," the genteel district up on the bluff in this once-notorious seaport, starts from the Rothschild House every Sunday at 2 pm, June through September. Please call ahead to ensure your reservation. The Rothschild House is managed by Jefferson County Historical Society. The JCHS staffs the house, while Washington State Parks provides maintenance and oversight.

Was a beautiful stop full of local artists work. Prices were not bad at all. Had a variety of art, oil, water color, photography, abstract. Small but a nice viewing.

This is one of my favorite places to explore each time I visit Port Townsend. Lots of local artists and wonderful selection of items. This is where I'll start Christmas shopping. I might just find everything I need without having to go to a mall or shop online!
