A spot of white in the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, the island of Naxos is a unique blend of ancient ruins and beach culture. The largest of the Cycladic Islands, Naxos is the childhood home of none other than Zeus, king of the gods. Upon arrival in Naxos, hike over a causeway to Palatia, where the Portara, a stone gateway to an ancient temple that no longer exists, stands alone, the symbol of the island. At sunset, the views of the island, and the sea beyond, are breathtaking.

What a great place! First of all, we did a tour of the small museum. We got very interesting explanations about olive trees and olive oil production in the Eggares area. In the shop next to the museum we could taste delicious samples of different, olive oil based products. Amazing quality and unique combinations! We had a fantastic time. Thanks again to Nicoletta and her team!

At our workshop you can learn about the technique of marble sculpture, using traditional Naxos marble under the guidance of a sculptor, either individually or in a group. Our workshop also welcomes artists or amateurs who would like to work independently, providing them with all the necessary material to sculpt or paint!
