The Košice Region is one of the eight Slovak administrative regions. The region was first established in 1923 and its present borders were established in 1996. It consists of 11 districts and 440 municipalities, 17 of which have a town status.

Artforum in Košice was founded on 28 October 1994 on the anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia. The initiator was the owner of Bratislava Artforum. The philosopher Erazim Kohák said that such a selection of philosophical literature cannot be found in one place or in Prague. Water mill in the village Kovacova near Roznava is an authentic old mill with all its equipment dating back to the beginning of the 20th century and belonged once to the family of Andrassy of Krasna Horka Castle. In the mill you can learn about the whole process of flour grinding and hear the story of the last miller. Besides, you can sit and have a nice refreshment on the terrace.
