Kedah (Malay pronunciation: [kəˈdɑh]; Jawi: قدح), also known by its honorific Darul Aman or "Abode of Peace", is a state of Malaysia, located in the northwestern part of Peninsular Malaysia. The state covers a total area of over 9,000 km², and it consists of the mainland and Langkawi. The mainland has a relatively flat terrain, which is used to grow rice. Langkawi is an archipelago of islands, most of which are uninhabited. Kedah was called Kadaram (Tamil: கடாரம்; kadāram) by ancient and medieval Tamil people and Syburi (Thai: ไทรบุรี; RTGS: Sai Buri) by the Siamese when it was under their influence.

This 'park' has collected the foundations of several ancient Hindu/Buddhist temples in this area and brought them together in this archaeological park. It is well-maintained, safe, and a fascinating place to visit with lots of open space for children to run around in if travelling 'en famille'. There is a small museum on the site that displays a number of the statues and related artefacts also found in this important archaeological zone that was most likely a thriving trading community settled by Indians from South Asia.

Presented in three-dimensional forms, many of these paintings seem to spill out from their framed canvases, offering a fun way for visitors to interact, photograph, and blend with the artworks. One of the highlights of the Langkawi Art in Paradise 3D Museum is the stunning panoramic painting of the gleaming Kuala Lumpur city skyline, featuring the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, Menara KL Tower, and Sultan Abdul Samad Building. The massive Egyptian theme zone is another must-visit for memorable photo opportunities, where visitors are transported into the mystery-filled ancient civilization. Images of the majestic Sphinx, pyramids, and pharaohs are painted in great detail, and seem to come to life in photos. While the Langkawi Island is usually frequented for its excellent duty-free shopping, island-hopping and diving opportunities, Langkawi Art in Paradise 3D Museum at Oriental Village offers a uniquely fun-filled activity for travelling families.

Very few tourists visiting Langkawi know about this place. You need to take a taxi or charter a car to come to this hidden diamond of Langkawi. All the beautiful collections of Dr. Mahatir, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, are on display in the 3 excellent display halls. The architecture of these 3 halls is very distinctive.
