Celebrate the wonders of the land and sea in Gothenburg, Sweden’s second-largest city and home to Liseberg amusement park, the country’s #1 tourist attraction.
Visiting Gothenburg Archipelago is a must, as is sampling everything from modern gastronomy to ‘fika’ to the fresh-caught wonders at Feskekörka (Fish Church). Be sure to take in the Gothenburg Museum of Art, stunning contemporary art at Röda Sten Art Centre, and – if you visit in August – the incredible Way Out West music festival.

Great experience! This museum has really nice impressionists collection - Claude Monet, Paul Cezanne, Vincent Van Gogh, Mark Chagall! Separate room is dedicated to Pablo Picasso, which have some of his famous works, for example "Family of acrobats with monkey". This art museum have great old European and Scandinavian masters, including Rubens. On the first and second floor you can find some modern art ! Definitely recommend to all!

We are open for visitors again! We follow the authorities recommendations closely and have made a number of changes to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff. If you are symptom-free, you are welcome to visit the museum. The number of visitors will be restricted. We will neither offer guided tours nor film shows in our cinemas until further notice. Our Café has a reduced capacity with a limited amount of seats. Weather permitting you are welcome to have your refreshments in our outdoor seating area. Please take extra care regarding hand hygiene and keep a safe distance to other visitors. If you are not feeling well, we advise you to postpone your visit.
Visited the Volvo museum back in March 2020 - just before Covid got bad. The museum itself is a bit outside Gothenburg so a taxi / Uber may be needed if not driving. The museum is absolutely fascinating, and the collection of both historic and modern Volvo cars is seriously impressive, as well as concept cars. I can highly recommend

This is a very interesting attraction in the centre of Gothenburg. We were able to visit a navel destroyer,a submarine and several other ships. The submarine was the highlight of our visit. The cost is reasonable and it was a lovely way to pass a couple of hours.

This was a great tour. It's an underground museum, full of planes and it's mind-blowing reading through the plane assembling details. Learning about world wars and bombs. It's sweetable for all ages. I have enjoyed my vacation

The museums area of more than 900 m² is filled with various types of radio equipment. The exhibition covers over the whole range of equipment from crystal receivers to luxurious stereo cabinets, televisions, and of course portable car radio equipment. The TV section has 'do-it-yourself' kits from ELFA, from the time when it was cheaper to build your own TV than to buy it. It also includes the famous nylon stocking, which was rumored to convert a black and white TV into a color TV! AGA's classic and elegant corner TV in hardwood is also included in the collection. Radio communication between vessels at sea and land bases has been important ever since time of Titanic, both for safety at sea and for contact between seaman and their relatives at home. Equipment for telegraphers at sea and the complete base station that was used at the Gothenburg Radio Station, a complete radio from MS Stena Gothica and different types of lifeboat radios - all this exhibited at the Radio Museum. People who served military service as radio operators or technicians will appreciate the large number of Swedish military radios in the Military Radio section, and there are English, American, German and Russian radios to compare with. The unique radio transmitters that where mounted in English Liberator areoplans are also on display. The area of land mobile radio with mobile phones is a new area that shows the development within the area of telephone and professional communication.

This is a lovely place to spend a couple of hors and learn about Swedish history and culture. The images of the Viking ship are very good as is the area devoted to Gothenburg and how it evolved over the centuries. It is very reasonable to enter and well worth a visit.

Entry is free... A lot of animals to see, the exhibition are rich , albeit a bit old fashioned not many interactive pieces. Really the best museum of natural history, also for the reason that is free entry. This is pretty cool for everyone who want to visit.

Every day is an adventure at Universeum. We’ve gathered animals, nature, chemistry, technology and fun experiments under one roof in the heart of Gothenburg. See the monkeys and sloths, hike through the Swedish wilderness, head into space and dive into the deepest depths of the ocean – all in one day. Welcome to the largest science center of the Nordic region.
Really interesting museum - well laid out rain forest. Plenty to do for a few hours. Often need to book in advance now due to limited numbers. Besides animal exhibits the space and science museum are fun and interactive too. Good for people of all ages
