Chiayi, officially known as Chiayi City (Chinese: 嘉義市; pinyin: Jiāyì Shì; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Ka-gī-chhī) and sometimes as Chia-I, is a provincial city located in the plains of southwestern Taiwan. Formerly called Kagee during the late Qing dynasty and Kagi during the Japanese era (Chinese and Japanese: 嘉義), its historical name is Tirosen.

The two buildings of the Chiayi City Historical Site Museum were built in the 18th year of the Showa era (1943) in the Japanese occupation period. The Zhaiguan was the place where the shrine worshipped and prepared before the sacrificial offering, and the Shewusuo was a shrine. Administrative Office. The two buildings were approved by the Chiayi City Government as a city's historic site, and were named [Chiayi City Historical Sites Museum]. On January 27th, 2019, the Museum of Historical Records was opened. The museum displayed the people of Chiayi and Chiayi. They used their past and present time to intertwin and present their own brilliance, in order to stimulate the feelings of the people who love their homes.
