The Morse Museum is home to the world's most comprehensive collection of works by American artist and designer Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933). Galleries feature works such as jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, leaded-glass lamps and windows; his chapel interior from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago; and art and architectural objects from his Long Island country estate, Laurelton Hall. Exhibitions also include American art pottery, late 19th- and early 20th-century American painting, graphics, decorative art. Appointments required.
Though I must admit I love strolling the streets of Winter Park, a detour to visit the delightful Charles Hosmer Morse Museum is a delightful way to spend a couple of hours surrounded by exquisite Tiffany creations [and is also a nice air conditioned respite].

Military History Buffs should make plans to visit this regional recreation center in The Villages, Florida. This facility has what I would call real life history of the military on display on the walls and those items on display were donated by the veteran or the veterans family for display at the facility. There is so much military history to see one would have to spend all day viewing the items if they are serious about military history. Living the Life in The Villages Florida is so much fun and interesting, yall come.

Central Florida's premier aviation attraction. More than 100 rare vintage aircraft, themed immersion experiences, flight simulators, interactive exhibits, tram tour of aircraft maintenance areas, restoration and back lot tours and daily aerial demonstration (weather permitting). Audio tours, Biplane Rides are also available. Wing WalkAir A thrilling outdoor attraction featuring a 600-foot zip line suspended four stories above water and a three-level ropes course complete with 33 midair challenges to be performed while tethered to an overhead line at heights of up to 45 feet.
We all owe Kermit Weeks a big Thank You for all the work he has done to single handedly save many of our historical aircraft from the junk heap. Weeks has his airplanes meticulously restored and then allows us to come and see them. My only regret is that they are only open three days a week now to the general public. I have been to some other great aviation museums such as PIMA Air and Space Museum in Tucson and Mid-America Air Museum in Liberal, Kansas but Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, Florida is the only one I know of in which most of the aircraft are restored to air worthy condition. Fantasy of Flight is truly a "Must See" when you are in Central Florida and Mr. Weeks, THANK YOU for all you are doing to save and restrore so many aircraft!

For more than 65 years, Orlando Science Center has been a place that inspires curiosity and exploration. Truly one of the great activities for Orlando families, the Science Center encourages learning in a fun way. There's no better place that combines fun and knowledge all under one roof! For visitors from out of town, Orlando Science Center is a must for your "things to do in Orlando" list. With four floors of exciting exhibits, amazing giant screen and 3D films as well as engaging live programming, the Science Center is the perfect family destination. We're also the ideal rainy day escape!
I've been here several times over the years with my 6 year old. We love it there! There are 4 floors of activities. Currently, they have a superhero exhibit my son loved. The Dino digs, weather experiments, indoor playground and animals (alligators, turtles etc.) are also always a hit. We always eat at Subway when we are there as that has always been the only food option. However, this time I was happy to see they opened a coffee shop that had a few snack options in it. Expect to spend the day there. We were there 5 hours. We always get there when they open at 10am to get the best parking by the entrance in the parking garage and to avoid some of the crowds. $5 to park. They have a nice gift shop, but it's overpriced. The only problem about visiting in the summer is all of the groups of camps/daycares that take up all of the exhibits. The staff at OSC were very helpful however.

Visit the home, galleries and workshop of internationally renowned artist Howard Solomon. Tour the Castle, walk our beautiful nature trails and enjoy a delightful lunch at the Boat in the Moat Restaurant. Spend the day!
Amazing place to visit! This is about much more than visiting Solomon's Castle. It is all about seeing the amazing talent, imagination and sense of humor this man had. After talking with multiple employees, who are either family members or close family friends, it is obvious that Howard Solomon was a unique and wonderful man. There are two tours available, one of the castle and one of the auto, planes and trains exhibit. We participated in and enjoyed both. Lunch at the Boat in the Moat was reasonably priced, scrumptious and plentiful. We even took a walk on the nature trail. Time spent on this property was relaxing and serene. We will most likely return and bring friends. PS: It is my thought that the folks who gave poor reviews simply did not have much appreciation for this type of art and creativity. It is not the type of castle that is full of fine furniture and beautiful china. It is a castle that was family home full of love and creativity in a peaceful country setting.
