Cameron Highland, Malaysia's premier hill resort is located on the Main Range of Peninsular Malaysia. At 1,829 metres above sea level, Cameron Highland is the largest of all Malaysian Hill resort and has a temperature ranging from 16 degrees to 24 degrees Celcius. Much of its appeal lies in the neat sprawling tea plantations that date back to 1929, as well as the terraced flower farms, strawberry farms and vegetable garden. Cameron Highlands consists of a series of little towns that include Ringlet , Tanah Rata, Brinchang, Tringkap, Kuala Terla, and Kampung Raja. The best tourist amenities can be found around Tanah Rata, the administrative center of the highland, but brinchang is fast catching up with a number of hotels, service apartments and restaurants. The traveler will have a 2 day and 1 night stay at Cameron with a private driver and traveler also can customize the trip that suits your needs and what you want to see. Some great sites, but the view of the Petronas towers is in a random road a fair way away from the towers themselves (our hotel was closer with a better view). Two of the stops were definite 'fake tourism' situations, whereby the tour company clearly has a deal with the places (only visitors here are those on tours). The guide fell asleep a couple of times throughout the experience, and it was felt that at the end, they wished to go home and either rush us on or drop us elsewhere so we could make our own way back... One of the stops you visit we were told we would have 40 minutes, but as it's 25 past, I'll round it and give you until quarter to... (i.e. giving 20 minutes). This wasn't enough time to go in to the museum... which also isn't included in the price?! Overall I'd say this was a slightly expensive taxi service, with some nice details given within the ride.

Cameron Highlands - This is Malaysia's green bowl supplying vegetables to the major cities of the country and to Singapore. The cool climate makes it an excellent tea growing area, indeed the Cameronian tea is highly priced in the world market. Orang Utan Island - Tucked away on the 35-acre Pulau Orang Utan, Orang Utan Island is the world's first and only 5-acre rehabilitation and conservation facility where Orang Utans roam free. The unique island serves as a breeding sanctuary as well as a conservation, research and education center to better understand this endangered species. Upon arrival, wait for the ferry to take you to the Orang Utan Island, which is about 10-minute boat ride across. At the island, you will be taken through a 100-meter steel walkthrough 'cage tunnel' to come up close and personal with these primates.
