A historic cinema in downtown Port Townsend, with the best in current film, cult flicks and classics. The auditorium and facade feature gorgeous details from the Rose's day as a vaudeville house, dating back to 1907. With delicious popcorn, plus beer and wine and and a beautiful collection of film photos, the Rose is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Like no other small town theatre you've seen. Worth a visit even if you're not going to a movie!
Sure the screen is a little smaller and may not have all the bells and whistles of the Mall theatres but the charm oozes out of every corner of this retro jewel! Plus when have you ever had the manager bounce up on stage and play trivia with you before a show...probably never...except here. So, settle into your velety seat with a freshly poured beer. wine or hard cider and bask in a time when movie theatres were more than just a vechicle to stream your movie; they were part of the entertainment experiance.

The Galaxy Uptown is the cleanest and best theater in the area. Seats are reservable and are large recliners with small tables, and plenty of aisle space, so no seat kicking or jostling. There's also an IMAX screen. While seats in that theater are also reservable, they are not the super comfortable recliners. In fact, they are a bit too upright and stiff. Lastly, this theater serves alcohol (separate counter)! Prices, as one should expect at any movie theater concession stand, are significantly inflated. Tip: Fan of classic movies? Check out their Classic Movie Mondays at 10 a.m.

The Grand is a unique experience. It's a vintage theater with a totally 'today' attitude. We like it so much we often drive from Seattle to catch a movie. We like it so much we became Members, a program with great benefits for the user and makes a solid contribution to keeping this non-profit afloat. The Grand gets first-run major films and usually curates the showings based on high caliber, distinctive offerings. Give it a try. It's a blast!
