A very good, and centraly located hotel
Reviewed By arg02We stayed 4 nighs in this hotel, and were very satisfied. Room are clean and spacious, and everything works fine. A friendly reseption, a good breakfast, and best of all ; a central location with Jokang temple less than five minutes away, and Potala 20 in a minutes distance. The hotel also have a very Nice and peaceful garden. They will gladly help you with taxies and car for day tours. The hotel is Tibetian, and so are the people working there, witch is a point when you visite Tibet.

Reviewed By MaaaniSeit Jahren steige ich bei meinen Besuchen in Lhasa im Yak Hotel ab. Gute Lage zum Barkhor und Jokhang. Zimmer ausreichend groß. Bad ok. Teppiche könnten ein Upgrade vertragen. Gutes WiFi. Gleich neben dem Dunya Restaurant und im Haus mit Shigatse Travels ein Reisebüro. Hier kann man alle Reisen in der ART bei René einem Hollaender buchen.

Reviewed By leaselineStaff are very helpful and the room is clean and nice. U can wash ur clothes by the washing machine on the rooftop. The free breakfast provided in the restaurant is simple. The location of the hostel is good and it is near the Potala Palace which is the centre of the city.

Reviewed By travellfarThis is a real out of the way hotel that seems like it was once a grand but small hotel. The weather was quite cool so the hotel was consequently cool as well. The rooms were decent size and the bed was reasonably comfortable. Don't take a shower at night as there doesn't seem to be any heat in the room and you don't want to get a chill. The shower was nice and hot but the entire bathroom got soaked with the shower. We got a breakfast included which consisted of toast and a fried egg with instant coffee. The coffee was terrible by North America standards but it was really good after several days without. Lots of construction nearby so watch you step!

It Was Nice To Stay Here For One Night.
Reviewed By TRAVELdglobenowWe stopped here for the night because 4 people from our group were crossing the border and entering Kathmandu the following morning. I had two full size beds as I had no roommate . I had to pay the agency a single supplement. The room was small but the heater worked well. There were floor lamps that were not plugged in . There were no outlet on the wall where they were standing. There was, also, a teapot with teacups on a tea table but it, too, was not connected. There was no outlet near it. I assumed it was there for show. The bathroom had two pairs of shower slippers and a big bucket under the sink. The commode was adjacent to the shower so if you took a shower, the commode got wet. The tiles on the bathroom floor were cracked. They had hot water before midnight. We got there around 11 PM and we had to eat across the street. We were in a hurry before they cut off the hot water. After midnight, the hair dryer did not work, either. The next morning, I found out that my room overlooked the mountain. It was a nice view. The housekeepers were friendly. Breakfast was not appetizing. They had toast, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and some rolls with sesame seeds. The lady in charge of the restaurant spoke English but she was very rude. There was free WiFi at the lobby. Our passports were kept at the front desk after we checked in . Early the next day, when I asked for mine, the guy indicated that someone else was in charge of the passports. I waited for a long time to get my passport back. The location was good since the restaurants were within walking distance. It was a convenient hotel for those in transit like we were.
