A temple built in the memory of General Yue Fei, a well-known national hero of the 12th century, is set at the southern foot of the Qixia Hill, near West Lake.
Considered to be the model for "loyalty" in China. An ancient Chinese General that died for his country, at the hands of his own countrymen but even in his death he expressed love and loyalty to China and has no regrets. A great mausolum to visit. Do not forget to take a picture in front of the statue where you see a couple kneeling, binded, facing towards Yue Fei. If you wonder what that's about he was the guy that betrayed Yue Fei and caused his death, and I guess his wife is there too repent of his sins with him. In the old days it's customary to spit of them, but they don't allow that anymore (for obvious reasons).
