A moving tribute to a freedom fighter against the soviets in the 50’s. In the middle of nowhere (look behind you) the monument appears. Read the bio about him as you stand there.

The whole place is architectural jewel, the statue of King Stephen made us research a bit about him, aparently great person of Hungarian history. I admired how even smallest details were perfectly crafted.

We made a new friend by the river!! We had read about the statue but did not go out of our way to see it... we found it just as we walked past. Hes very quirky and dressed well for the cold weather by the Danube

This amazing work of art was originally created in the Baroque style in the years 1710-1713 and was restored in 1967 to reflect the amazing look we see today. The pillar is decorated with lovely reliefs and statues. At the top of the column there is a spectacular sculpture of the Holy Trinity. In my opinion a wounderfull piece of art, dont miss it when you visit the old city.

He is a local hero. The sculpture is big and beautiful. The view from here is picturesque. A good place to take lots of photos.
