This monument represent thank of Slovaks (and our brothers Czechs) to the Red Army, whose soldiers gave their lives in fight against Nazi of the Third Reich. Although today many young people rather do not understand the importance of defeat of fasism and take everything for granted, this black obelisk stands in the center of the square to commemorate people who liberated us.
