This is a great time out. Be sure to get the full package. Museum is nice but the German Bergwerk Museum is better on that account. The trip into the mountain is what makes this great. We had a very friendly guide (German speaking only) and enjoyed the train trip with the walk around the logistical heart of the mine very much. Fascinating to learn that the management had the foresight to preserve the mine for either visitors or future exploitation in 1974 and reopend as a museum within little over one year. Must see if you have basic command of German or like being in a mine.
