We have used the subway and was perfect. It was easy to use and we found it very safe and non threatening. We took it several times and easily made our way across the city. Highly recommended!

I visited this station many times between 1992-2014 and it was filthy building and unloved. Now it has benefitted from a wonderful and deep clean and an upgrade and is a now a lovely place to travel from or spend some time admiring the ticket office and roof (which needs to be completed!). The local government are spending millions upgrading stations, replacing old ones and extending the underground network ...it is long overdue.

This busy station is having a mezzanine inserted but the concourse is magnificent. The foundation stone was laid by the then Prince of Wales in 1925 and visitors will notice some similarities to London's Waterloo
