Our family of 5 stayed in the family room for 2 nights to go to Puy du Fou. The hosts were so helpful and booked us a lovely place to eat on our first evening. The room was incredibly comfortable, clean and beautifully and sympathetically decorated. We had 2 double beds in the huge main bedroom, a separate room with one single bed, a large bathroom and some toys and games for the children. It was 20 minutes from Puy du Fou so ideally situated. We would highly recommend this chateaux and will return ourselves

A small property (3 rooms available) offering B&B in a small and extremely quiet village. Nearest town St Hermine (5 minutes by car) has a couple of French Restaurants and one run by a Cornishman (Pub des Halles). The B&B itself reflects traditional French life. The rooms are well equipped although I couldn`t get English TV. Our hosts, Sabrina, who was ably supported by her hard working Husband Phillipe, was ever attentive whenever we were in the property. She could not have been more hospitable. Breakfast was mainly bread, brioch, jams and yoghurt. I was happy to say my usual holiday gut buster was forgotten about and we were well satisfied. A small indoor pool refreshed us amply from the heat of the day and the patio offered a pleasant area to snack. The surrounding area was farmland mainly arable. Easy travelling to La Rochelle, Fontenay le Comte and Chantonnay. Gentlemen do not be too disappointed as there is a definite lack of large shopping areas. You will have to find another activity ! Perhaps the Abbey at Maillezais or boating on the river in Danzwic which also boasts a couple of fine eating places.
