Reviewed By Safari1957The name of this guest house/hotel is actually Almaz at least that is what the sign says. I was told it is a hotel but in any case it is a small Place With few but very big rooms. Almaz is situated in a quiet side street not far from shops and market. The staff is friendly and at least two of staff members talk English. In general language is a challenge many places in Dushanbe unless you speak Russian or Tajik language. I found very few people that could communicate in English. Basic breakfast was served but do not expect much. Food that normally require cool storage is kept out in the open. Really missing a restaurant and a place to buy something to drink or a snack.

It is a very safe place with cheap prices. Overall, I believe it can be the best option if you are looking to meet people. I recommend you if you want to stay in Khorog, Pamir Lodge will be the best pick!

Hanis Guesthouse in Pamir locates in the centre of the Ishkashim which is the largest village in the Wakhan Valley and famous with "Afghan market". With huge territory and an amazing rooftop that has the best view of the Hindukush Mountains. There is also a reading room with quite a lot of English books and several indoor/ outdoor resting areas, which partly decorated in traditional Pamir style, kitchen for more than 30 pers, conference room, satellite antenna with more than 80 European channels as BBC&CNN. We have about 25 beds, mobile phone call, 24h hot water supple Also, various travel information ranging from travel counseling, trekking to route planning, travalling in Afghan side, guide, car renting and so on. Ishkashim where Hanis Guesthouse locates is one of the most populated place in region, in which you can find almost all the traditional food, bazaar, supermarket and souvenir shopping. All for your convenience.

Reviewed By FizzcalWe were passing through Ishkashim for the day so didn’t stay here - we dropped in to ask for help finding a car mechanic and the team were very helpful to us. They also kindly treated us to tea, with homemade bread and jam - delicious!!

Гостиница с номерами разных категорий, 2 ресторана, есть сауны с бассейном, прокат лыжного инвентаря. Самое важное - это склон. Нельзя сказать что он легкий, но и как о сложном о нем тоже трудно сказать. Это нечто среднее. Уже после второго спуска ты уверенно проходишь крутые места, и все остальное время используешь для наслаждения. Со мной был инструктор, который научил меня новой технике катания.

It is about a fifteen-minute walk from the centre and difficult to find without asking directions.

Rooms are very big, with private bathroom, there are also free wifi and works better than usual..

Yet another terrific example of Pamiri hospitality
Reviewed By NasiGorengPLUmriniso is just a perfect place. Located in the middle of the Khorog city park, literally next door to PECTA, is an example of lovable Pamiri hospitality. It's a traditional Pamiri house, with great shaded courtyard and spacious very clean room. The host is absolutely adorable and she resembles more a grandma then the guesthouse owner. She will make sure you always have all you need, that you're not hungry / thirsty or too cold / too hot. On the arrival she went to meet us on the street, served us a welcome tea, bread and jam and never charged for that. She made no problems when we wanted to keep our excessive luggage at her place when trekking. The place is a decent value for money (15 USD per person). It's possible to communicate in English! On the downside, there was an issue with the water pressure and as a result the shower was only possible at 6am and 6pm but we understand it was more a issue of the city infrastructure then the place itself. Also, breakfast were quite expensive so we decided to eat outside. But all in all, we fully recommend this excellent example of Pamiri hospitality.

Reviewed By Anna CDidn't expect anything, but it is pretty okay. Room was clean, fresh linen. No aircon, but a fan. But never stay to near to the wedding hall (music is quite loud in the area of staircases and in all rooms 3XX).

Reviewed By Aleksey CСовсем небольшая гостиница в Пенджикенте. Номера небольшие, но есть все необходимое. белье чистое. Горячая вода автономная из бойлера, поэтому перебоев с водой не было. Цена терпимая 150 сомони (1500 рубл), можно забронировать заранее. Место расположение в центре.
