Had an overnight stay at the Bluebird Inn as we were guests at a nearby wedding couldn't fault the friendly and helpful staff, our room was clean, warm and I think recently decorated. The breakfast was tasty with reasonable choice and promptly served.Would stay again if in area.

Travelled from Scotland for a gig that I decided to go to last minute so rushed to book without really looking at what I was booking so didn't know what to expect but when I arrived I was very pleasantly surprised! The room itself was great! For a cheap price, it is very spacious and well designed. Absolutely spotless as well! Of course, if I had looked more into it I would have known they don't do solo rooms so I had two double beds and a single bed all to myself ? But again, for a room that sleeps 5 people it was so spacious! It had two bathrooms, one with a jacuzzi tub. Temperature of the room was easily regulated. Bed was really comfortable. I saw some reviews where people complained of noise - if you're booking a hotel in a city centre you should expect noise! It is undeniably loud but I found the room was so comfortable that I was able to sleep fine. For a short stopover in Liverpool you really cannot go wrong with this hotel! Very reasonably priced and I would definitely return with a group - or even by myself again! Staff were also lovely and helpful.

Positives: Staff fairly friendly and central location. Parking cheap in early multi storey (discounted by hotel). Bathroom relatively clean. Negatives: Room not great, dirty stains on walls and chair, not hoovered properly, stank of cigarettes, windows didn't open, overly hot, area to hang clothes above person sleeping in single bed. Breakfast rubbish, everything looking very sad and running out by 9:30. Food not at all appealing. Wouldn't stay there again or in any Travel Lodge.

Myself and my 10 year old daughter stayed at the Hopton Hotel overnight in a budget double room and we were not disappointed! The hotel itself is in an excellent location and is only a short walk from the Promenade shops and amenities. On arrival the owner was very welcoming and kindly offered us secure, free car parking behind her locked gate during our stay! The hotel bar and lounge was very clean and offers homely traditional Blackpool feel. Our room itself was very clean and cosy, the bed was comfortable and the towels were soft and fluffy. Plenty of complementary tea, coffee biscuits also provided. The room overall was great value for money! Our cooked breakfast was lovely and very tasty. "The bacon was the best!" According to my daughter and they even gave her an extra piece which she was very happy about. There were cereals and fresh juice, tea/coffee provided and they offered pancakes if my daughter prefered them instead of the cooked breakfast option. The staff could honestly not do enough for us and were lovely. I would definately stay here again and will be returning to the Hopton Hotel with the rest of my family. Thank you Hopton Hotel!

Stayed for a couple of nights while visiting family. Friendly host (Jimmy), warm & clean room with decent facilities. Low cost. No breakfast option though there is a shared kitchen you can use if you wish. Secure car park and very close to the airport if using it as a base to fly from. Only downside was the bed which had significant roll into the middle. Needs a new mattress! Was fine for a couple of nights.

Fantastic clean comfortable room and huge in size. Bathroom equally as huge. Great food in the restaurant. The staff however make this place friendly welcoming and smiley. They also engage with you which is great when travelling alone! If you get Nick as your duty manager and Amy (D) as your huu or std on the restaurant you’re on to a winner! Only criticism, real fast whilst great value was lacking in fruit and cereal, very neat and proton based but can’t complain about value for money!

Beautiful venue, lovely staff, great food, loads of outdoor play area for children. A great place for lunch. There was a wake on at the time, so we had to go into the pub side which was still so lovely, can’t fault the place, we’ll done team!!! Took my grandma and 2 year old there last week and had such a nice time on the tractor, play area, field, by the pond. Staff really accommodating towards having a child too which is a rarity! Thanks for a lovely afternoon

Stayed for one night. Lovely couple. Attention to details, comfortable and spotless! Beautiful room with a huge princess bed! The biggest bed I have ever seen, I slept like a dream. The view was stunning and the cool country air was heaven. They clearly love what they do and they are naturals at hospitality. My breakfast was spot on. I would come back here every time.
