Situated on the Dutch border, Limburg is the easternmost province in Flanders, and the foremost fruit-growing region in the country. The lively, friendly market town of Hasselt is the provincial capital. It boasts a car-free historic center, with building dating back as far as the 11th century. Genk is another recommended stop. The city of 63,000 people is home to a zoo, a planetarium, De Maten nature reserve and Bokrijk, an open-air museum of 19th century Flemish architecture.

The host is fluent in English and very helpful --he gave us excellent suggestions for some few hours of sightseeing and dinner in a nearby town. This B & B was in a small hamlet not far off the autoroute -- newly renovated facilities. We would stay here again.

Lovely collection of old country/farm buildings with loads of character and decorated with country-style furnishings, also including a large rambling old-fashioned conservatory around parts of the hotel. Romantic informal garden surrounding the hotel. For a great price I stayed in a lovely little single room in the main building, simple & rustic decoration, including tiny cute shower. Beware, shared toilet for the room I stayed in, was ok for my purposes. Old building so some cracks around doors therefor not very soundproof, if you are sensitive to that sort of thing. Really tasty restaurant onsite in building and garden, very picturesque. Summer visit so did have quite a mosquitos in room, would advise having repellent. All in all, if you are looking for luxury and mod cons, not the place for you. If you want character, country feel, beautiful setting, great food & wine and you don’t mind a bit of old & rustic, this place is great.

It´s a small personal hotel. With very helpful and friendly staff. In the room there´s everything you could need, like scisor, Iphone charger etc. There is homemade granola and marmelaids to breakfast and perfect eggs!

The restaurant is setup in an old watermill. It is cozy country style with an extensive menu. It doesn't seem big but there is a first floor with lots of room as well. The place is not to packed and service is running quite smooth. Prices are very reasonable for the quality one gets on his plate. Top notch and sure we'll be back soon. No pictures this time, to busy enjoying the food and drinks, but next time we'll try to remember to take some.

Really nice holiday home nearby Maasmechelen Village, Maastricht and Hasselt. The cottage is located in a really quiet village with many cycling roads and nice walk areas.
Had a few friends meet up for drinks and finger food. Bad food. Chicken wings looks like soup. Wouldn’t recommend this place . It’s also a water log area. It’s raining and the parking lot is flooded already. Smdh.

We were staying at the B&B Huize Briers - old unique building completely refurbished - (2 adults and 1 child) and used the restaurant on Friday evening + all breakfast days. Perfect and lovely breakfast with extreme personal service. Very good traditional food, correct priced and served with best attitude. Good Chef ! The B&B has very beautiful rooms, in large cities this would be a 5-star property. I worked in hotel business before and this is a start of the art service and quality. We will come back to this address.

A countryside bed & breakfast with beauty salon; 8 rooms (single up to a 2-bedroom suite; with HD LED TV and en-suite bathrooms; recently fully renovated; private parking; meeting room; free WiFi; taxi service.
I stayed at the B&B for 2 nights and it is a beautifully presented venue. It was ideal for me as I was going to the Zolder Race Circuit. Unless you have business in the area I cannot see many other things to do! The breakfast was just "OK" - a little sparse and when I asked for eggs on the Monday morning I was told that they were served only at the weekend!!! Bedrooms were pretty tiny. Jusy OK for one person. The Credit Card machine was non-functioning on the last day of my visit and I was told that the Payment Operator only works 9-5 on weekdays (this was a Bank Holiday) - something I found hard to believe! It then meant an annoying trip into town to get cash from the ATM. Overall? Good...with a few annoying points

Myself and my partner Nathalie stayed here for three nights to visit family. Martha made us very very welcome with her pet dogs in tow! Absolutely beautiful and extremely rustic with wonderful views of idyllic countryside complete with Shire horses. The rooms available are stunning and very cosy and very comfortable! Breakfast served daily was enough for a Banquet and very good and nothing is too much trouble!. We will definitely be staying again ☺
