Excellent and then some
Reviewed By beauboI stayed at The Kutaya on four different occasions over a two month period. While it was a little hard to find (my taxi drivers were zero for four in getting within 100 meters!!), once I was in the vicinity, all the locals knew where it was and I walked there in less than 2 minutes. Its location is actually a plus- it is nice and quiet away from the noise and traffic. The rooms a spotless and comfortable, and the shower pressure was great, something I have learned not to take for granted in Bali!! The rooms surround a serene courtyard and small swimming pool. There is a small balcony outside each room as well. I didn't stay for breakfast so I can't comment on the food. It is a family owned place and it is obvious that the owners want to do a good job...and they succeeded with me1

The owner was such a nice man and was always willing to help/make our stay as comfortable as possible. Very good location also as one of the nicest beaches is less than a 5 min drive away. Would definitely recommend this place!

Great rest after a long travel
Reviewed By HulkurkassWe made a last minute booking and were really happy that we found this great suprise. Rooms are basic with huuuuge bed that is good for a night sleep or a daytime nap. Complimentary water on both of the days that we stayed. But what really makes the place is it’s stunning swimming pool..would definitely stay here again before our flight out. Plus points also for the location. But if you like your steaming hot showers then heads up no hot water in the room.

Good services Budget Hotel
Reviewed By nishbellMe and my friend stayed there for 4 nights. We booked from online like 6 hours before arrival, then we arrived there before the check in hour. Luckily, our room is empty so the staff let us to check in directly at 9 am. It's small but it's fit for 2 people. Cool aircon, refrigerator, tv, clean bathroom. They not provide breakfast and don't have a room cleaning service daily but we're okay with that. They also have a motorcycle rental service and we can bargain the price a bit ?. The motorcycle was in good condition and we didn't face any problem with it. So far this hotel is cheap and the service is good ?

Reviewed By nandaiuskThis was by far MY WORST EXPERIENCE with Airbnb (actually with the hospitality sector in general). Started with checkin, where the staff had a bunch of friends around continuously making jokes clearly directed to us in the local language. Once we’ve got to the room, surprise - no double bed - they gave us a twin room saying it was the only room available, even though we told the host it was a honeymoon trip. The staff gave us the key and quickly left, and that’s where the story got worse. The room was filthy, an absolute nightmare. There was hair everywhere on the floor, thick layers of spider webs in every corner of the room, the bathroom was soaked (like someone just took a shower on it), broken toilet seat, tap and shower head completely rusty, HOLES AND STAINS all over the bedsheets and pillow cases, bad smell on the pillows, and the towels looked like someone used to mop the floor. We went to the lobby to change our reservation, the staff that was already rude before got even more energetic and said that they couldn’t do it because they are not responsible for the listing on Airbnb - the listing was made by an Agency and they don’t have even a contact number to speak directly with them. (AGENCIES WILL KILL THE AIRBNB EXPERIENCE IF THEY DONT DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT) In the end we’ve had to contact the Airbnb customer service, send the pictures to them and explain in detail our case before they agreed in change our checkout date to the next morning. The whole thing cost us an entire night looking for a new place to stay in Kuta in a dump room (we’ve had to pay for) that we couldn’t leave even to have dinner because we were afraid of the staff since they were yelling at us and making fun of the situation. To finish the story with a gran finale, the host (Agency) contacted by message and called us liars, which we replied with a bunch of pictures and details about what was happening. He apologised in the end - going against images is quite hard - which doesn’t make any difference, his response just showed his profile as a dishonest host and disrespectful person.
