Deki Lodge is located in the 10 Mile Area, about 10 minutes walk northwards from the bus/ taxi stand on Tripai Road. Deki Lodge is unique with its atmosphere of tranquility and serenity and yet being within walking distance from the Tharpa Choling and the Bhutanese Thongsa Gompa Monasteries, the town centre and the Main Market Square. Deki Lodge is owned and run by a Tibetan family.
A belated review for a stay in December 2019. Deki is like an Oasis - behind the front gate it is a calm and relaxing oasis. The staff were friendly and made us feel at home. The room was the cleanest and most comfortable of all those we experienced during our travels around India - and the views of the mountains were breathtaking. There were choices for breakfast which we enjoyed on the terrace. The hotel is an easy short walk from the shops, restaurants and transport. There is a lot of local history and wonderful nature around the area, and we hope to be back one day.

Hollyhocks Conifers Cottage is located at Rishyap road, Rishyap West bengal. Total 8 rooms. Well furnished Large rooms with modrn amenities with panaromic view facing of Mt. Kanchenjhungha. All rooms have attached bathrooms & balcony. Open area available for camp fire arrangement. Homely delicious food available at our hotel dinning.
The only plus point of this hotel is the mesmerising view of kanchanjungha from its balcony and rooms. Otherwise, the hotel is not up to the mark. There is no guiser in the bathroom. There is no fan in the room, so bit difficult to stay in summer season. The floors are covered with carpet which is not so clean. Options of food are very limited and the price of food is very high. The hotel also could not provide mineral water. There is no bell system from the room. So one has to go up to reception to contact them. So, not a good option to stay.

We visited this hotel during mid Dec, 18. Its been a while since I am posting this review. We were 8 adults and 2 kids and had stayed for 2 days. Nice clean rooms, hotel right on the main road, opposite to the park. Best part of the hotel are the mountain view suites. One end of the room - fully glass covered and from there you can see the entire mountain range - mesmerizing views ! We were indeed very lucky to witness of the spectacular views of the entire range - snow covered right from our rooms! Manager - Mr. Sandeep - very helpful gentleman. On our request, he had arranged for a borne fire for us (on extra charge). Food was good. One must visit this place to get a glimpse of the magical snow capped peaks. Carry enough warm clothes during December.

I have a mixed feeling about this hotel. Excellent location , may be the best at Rishop, one will feel as if staying at heaven when you will find whole range of Kanchanjunga with its glamour in the morning in front of a beautiful flower decorated lawn. Now, about the management, very less responsive and have poor coordination with the site people. Worst is it's site staff and their hospitality. I have visited many parts of the country and one can go through my reviews here. But even considering the remoteness of the place I never experienced such a rude , unprofessional and courtesy less hospitality. Very sorry to say. After a long hectic journey such an indifferent and rude attitude damage the spirit of the travel.

Loleygaon Homestay is a small homestay in the hamlet of Loleygaon surrounded by coniferous forest and the mountains. It has four rooms all with attached toilets in western style and fitted with hot water geyser for 24 hours water supply. There are 3 Double Rooms and 1 Four Bedded Room. The Double Rooms can accommodate two adults each, whereas the quad room can accommodate four adults. The interior is well decorated with polished teak wood up to the ceiling. Double Beds are of king size and single beds are of queen size. The flooring is decked with carpet. There are television sets in each room. Rooms have private balconies sitting where one can watch the changing colours of the mighty Kanchenjunga throughout the day. The jungle canopy walk (hanging bridge) is just 400 meters walking distance from the homestay. There is a eco tourism park with a lord Buddha statue adjacent to the homestay. The scenic beauty, the mountains, jungles and the freshness of the air of loleygaon will mesmerise everyone.
Loleygaon Homestay has the best private balcony to view Kanchenjunga from the rooms. Wide open on all sides at the top of a hill with no hindrance between you and Kanchenjunga. The homestay provides best food and stay. Very clean and spacious rooms. Budget homestay an very pocket friendly. I recommend it for all.

Pros: 1. Great view from the window. 2. Lava market and all needs are well available. 3. Rooms were pretty good. Cons: 1. I don't know why they do not provide food, i.e. lunch and dinner (even coffee, tea in breakfast), while they are having a well equipped restaurant. 2. They are good at giving excuses. Nevertheless we had restaurant near by, we did not face any issue regarding food. This hotel is only good for stay.

If you want serenity with nature's bounty, Yonzonla Home stay, in Kumai, is the perfect abode for you, the wanderer. The amicable hosts, their warm hospitality, impeccably clean and well furnished rooms, the washrooms fitted with modern gadgets, the simple home cooked meals, would leave you humbled. Relatively unknown among the Dooars getaways, Kumai is a hamlet in the Himalayan foothills with tea gardens, mustard fields, forests, pebbled streams, little cottages adorned with colourful flowers and smiling village folks, all within a few strolls away. There are two ways to reach the home stay from New Mal Junction, one through the dense Chapramari forest and the other through the meandering roads of Chalsa, Matelli and Samsing tea gardens. Thankfully, this place is yet to be commercialized and is free of sprawling resorts and nagging vendors. A 2-3 nights stay would leave one refreshed and energized. The hosts can also arrange trips to Bhutan and Sikkim.
