South Bend is synonymous with the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Forested Nashville’s art colony fame dates to the early 1900s when Impressionist Theodore Clement Steele overwintered in The House of the Singing Winds. It is now the T.C. Steele State Historic Site. Built from the ground up on 25 acres of secluded woodland, this Inn offers a refreshing escape from the ordinary. The Inn is located only five miles from Purdue University campus and 2.5 miles from the award-winning golf course at Coyote Crossing. Inspired by the Whittakers' passion for travel, each of The Whittaker's accommodations are custom-designed and equipped with modern amenities.
I would have given 10 stars if there were that many available. The Whittaker Inn is a hidden gem in West Lafayette, IN. The location is perfect. It is far enough out of town and off the beaten path to be peaceful, yet within 10-15 minutes of the Purdue campus. The Inn is family owned, offering excellent personalized service. I cannot begin to convey how pleased we were with the cleanliness. On our arrival, we were greeted and given a tour of the Inn by Elizabeth, owner. The rooms are designed using furnishings of different countries. We stayed in the India room. It offered a couch, chair, and king size bed. The large walk in shower featured a digitally controlled spa shower with overhead rain shower, handheld shower unit, and two body jets. It was amazing. The Whittaker Inn offers a complimentary breakfast cooked to order. They also serve dinner by reservation. Chef Andrew, owner, is exceptional at his craft. The food was delicious and very pleasing to the eye! When you stay at the Inn, plan to eat dinner there. Make sure to order the crab cakes! They are the best I have ever eaten! I have nothing negative to say about our stay. We will be making reservations to stay here on future visits to Purdue.

The room smelt musty, like it hadn’t had fresh air for a while. Decided not to stay there since we have allergies. Owner tried to give us a different room but it was only one bed instead of two. Didn’t get a refund, but feel like we should have due to the condition we found the room in.

Lee, Leslie, and George warmly welcome you into their home. Fresh blueberries with bananas and cream, stuffed French toast, just to get your day started. Hot tea and scones when you've been caught in the rain. Oak Room has garden and pond view, outdoor seating, an incredibly comfortable bed, with the softest towels ever. Inntiquity, an old established B&B, has been rebuilt after a fire. A plus for guests; all new plumbing, lighting, and Wi-Fi. In the rebuild the attention to detail is incredible. A wonderful few days.

We stayed here for two nights. The owner gave us a great nearby recommendation for a place to eat. He was always pleasant and attentive. The many comments about the cleanliness are well-deserved; everywhere looked like it had been freshly painted and was spotlessly clean. I could walk barefoot on the carpets without any concerns. Recommended for everyone who looking budget price and nice rooms.

We booked a room online and got a reservation number, only to find out on the day of arrival that they cancelled the booking without informing us, just because they wanted to accommodate walk-ins. The person manning the counter was casually lounging in the reception area, was rude, unprofessional, drunk, and did not even wear any uniform to identify himself as a staff of the hotel. He did not even looked at the booking number and just simply said, the “the hotel is full.” I would avoid this place if you are considering an accommodation. There are better hotels nearby.

They advertise non smoking rooms but our room smelled of smoke so bad we couldn't hardly even stay in it. By the time we left from Memorial weekend we had to throw out our pillows & sheets couldn't even get the smell out. Suitcases were ruined. Had to do laundry clothes twice to get smell out. If your a non smoker dont stay here. Be careful the pictures on the web have to be at least 10-15 years old.

Stayed at the Fishermen's Cove 26-30 March 2017. Time to take this hotel through a major overhaul. It's too old and the new generation of hotels show how big the gap is. Beach is great - lovely beach front- walking down a 1 mile beach stretch! Out of this world! Good swim! Staff as helpful and kind as it can be in Seychelles. Please SPG do the needful!

One of our employees stayed at this hotel while on an out-of-town field assignment, and was not provided with a zero balance receipt for our records, just a generic printed receipt for the total amount we authorized for his stay. Both the travel coordinator and I called to ask for a copy of the receipt for our records, and were yelled at by the man who answered the phone (who also turns out to be the manager). He said he would not provide a receipt and it was not his problem. I will be advising our employees to never stay at this place again should they ever be in the area, especially after reading the other reviews.

After reading so many bad reviews, we were pleasantly surprised by our accommodations. We had a 2 bedroom with a balcony that walked out to the slopes. Everything about our room was to our expectations, clean and well furnished. It appears to have recently been renovated. The fully functional kitchen was equipped with some dishes, pots & pans, dish soap, coffee, etc. There were plenty of fresh linens and the beds were very comfortable. The location is fantastic whether you are there to ski, tube, or just enjoy the view. The outside of the property needs some clean up. There were several piles of trash which appeared to be left for pick up from previous guest. A dumpster was recently provided so hopefully the trash issue will be resolved soon.
