If you are ever doing the Ha Giang loop in North eastern Vietnam this guesthouse is a little piece of heaven. It is wedged between lots of other buildings on the main street in Meo Vac, but once you walk through the front doors you are welcomed by a lovely sitting room and the warmth from the fireplace. The 4 rooms upstairs are simple but the beds are super comfy. The family have decorated the rooms to give the each room a homely feel. Ask for the room at the back away from the street. The toilet and shower facilities are downstairs, but they are really clean and functional and exceptionally cute. There is free wifi. We stayed here after a long day of trekking and it was definitely a nice place to relax and recover. We would have loved to stay longer. The local family made use feel welcome.

We stayed for one night during whilst completing the Ha Giang loop, we arrived quite late and muddy having taken a fall on our bike in the rain. The lady on the reception desk kindly laundered our clothes for us, although it was rainy so when we collected them the following day they were still damp. The room was tiny but comfortable for a nights stay, our only complaint is that the shower could only be burning kettle like hot, or cold which was slightly annoying after a muddy day! However we would book here again if we were in the area as we loved the cute huts!

Maison Teahouse Homestay - destinations not to be missed when coming to Ha Giang
We only went for a drink and to check it out but it's a cool place, lots going on but a nice place to be. The food menu is limited but I hear the pho is pretty special. Genuine 20 yr old tea factory and a good sized tea shop. Now a fully fledged homestay too. Check it out

We spent one night here during a round tour of the Ha Giang-province, and what a warm and cozy place with lovely and very welcoming hosts to arrive at after a long way of travel. It's situated in the middle of nowhere, and without our Vietnamese guide we would never have found it. For backpackers travelling in the north of the country it's an obviuous choice being so extremely cheap. Also the food is great. Only downside for us was a bit of a chilly night as we visited the place in the coldest part of the year.

We were meant to spend 1 night but we stayed for 4 nights ! The place is incredibly beautiful, located in very peaceful surroundings. We loved our stay there ! The family is wonderful, the food was delicious and the banana wine was the best ! We had a really good time having dinner with them ! It's a great place to relax especially when you've been traveling for a while. We highly recommend this place, go spend a night there and you will understand what we mean. Thank you for everything, we hope our paths cross again. All the best! Laurie & Ludo

I booked through booking.com but when i arrived, the receptionist altered my booking with a really unacceptable excuse. I felt so unpleasant and angry about such a poor excuse but tried to accept. The place was VERY BASIC with few amenities. And the bathroom was NOT clean at all Few days later I decided to check out. However, the receptionist unacceptably asked for more money. My friend could speak Vietnamese but not enough to argue with him. After all I decided to pay as I did not want to waste my precious time on him any more, finding that the man was really devious and untrustworthy I TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED about the service of your hotel and decided that I'll definitely consider to book other hotel instead of yours in my future visit
