We spent two very comfortable nights in the studio apartment called Thea Emilie. All mod cons, quaint little balcony overlooking the picturesque streets of the university precinct. The staff at the Hotel Park, an associated business across the road, were very helpful when we first arrived and we were lucky enough to get an early checkin to the apartment. Having just disembarked from a rigorous 10 day cruise of the Norwegian Fjords, it was delightful to enjoy all the comforts of home in such quiet surroundings. Just a little out of the hub, but close enough to be able to walk to Central Station and 1.8km to Tourist Information Centre and less to central Bergen (by the way be ready for queues at this Centre and take a number as soon as you get in the door). We dined on two successive nights at Cafe Spesial, less than 10 minutes walk from 2 Dotre. Prices similar to a decent pub meal in Melbourne. Delicious food, amazing range of ales and we were the only tourists there.

Cabins and camping located in a quiet valley 7 km outside Geiranger. 9 cabins of different standards all with parking outside cabin and free wifi. Breakfast if required. Nice area for hiking and perfect location for day trips in the area - Alesund, Trollstigen, Briksdal etc. Pet animals on site.
We stayed here for one night and rented a two bedroom cottage with one bedroom on the first floor (bunk bed) and three matresses in the atic. We loved the cottage and nature outside. The cottage seemed freshly painted in a vibrant orange colour which I simply adored. We had our own parking space next to the cottage which was great! The terrace was nice and spcious. The cottage was really cosy and very clean. The area around was very open and peaceful. We regretted not staying there longer. Will definitely come back here and recommend it to others! It’s a 16 min drive to Geiranger center. Free wife in the reception area.

The staff was not available after 20:00. Disappeared. There were 6 glasses, but not the advertised coffee machine or kettle, the promised view of the river, was, hmmmm, not there as you can see in the photo. The bed smelled.... Try to find another hotel.

Very nice cabin. 3 bedrooms, doublebed, bedbunk, 2 seperate beds. 2 bathrooms, 1 for shower loundry and 1 with sink and toilet. Small but good kitchen. Fireplace, telly couch etc etc. Clean, good beds (to be honest only tested the double bed). Location is very nice. Not crowded in the surroundings. Very nice owner, can help with ideas what to do or for a nice chat. Recommended for travelling alone, but also great for couples and families. 3rd bedroom is above the livingroom so only good to use for adults/ late slepers

After a long drive we were hungry. But no food serving on mondays. As for Lærdal in general... no food after five thirty.... It is a picturesque village but nothing to do. Our cabin was nice, but the staff seemed like we vere an interference. Our regret is that we just didn't drive past and just went to Voss.

In our main building, you will find a 1550 m2 indoor playground for children, conference rooms, swimming pool, fitness center, golf simulator, squash courts, shop, piano bar, and our restaurant. In wooded landscape around the main building, you find comfortable cabins and apartment cabins. We have 107 Cabins and apartments. All full equipped with kitchen, bathroom with shower/wc, bedlinen and towels are included. Free internet. We also have 12 large hotel rooms (40m2 / 430 sqft) with large beds (280 cm / 110 inch wide). All hotel rooms have free internet connection, TV and a small whirlpool.
This place discriminates against minorities. Therefore I would not recommend staying there. I also have gluten- and lactose allergy which they might be unable to accommodate for. The nature is probably worth a visit, but I would rather sleep in a tent to be perfectly honest.

Aurland 292 is a private and traditional River Lodge located in Aurland. The farm has provided accommodation for anglers from Norway and abroad for several generations. The Lodge has 9 rooms with traditional furnishing inspired by guests with close links to the Aurlandselva river. The lodge has outdoor wood fired hot tub and sauna and we focus on sustainable principles, growin our own fruit, herbs and vegetables. Ours is a place to relax and reconnect with yourself and nature. We are surrounded by slow adventure and offer guided activities suited for every age and activity level.
If you are considering booking your stay here at 29|2 Aurland, there should be no doubt any more - just book your stay! This tranquil little place between the mountains in Aurlandsdalen is run by Tone and her family, they also include their staff in the family which really shows in the atmosphere and the interaction with the guests. They aim to follow the principals of Norwegian Ecotourism, so they would like you to stay at their place for two nights, or more, so the local community and environment can benefit from our stay. This can particular be seen when it comes to the food they serve for breakfast and dinner. Every evening you are invited to eat dinner in the ‘Eldhuset’ (Smoke house) and the menu consists of locally produced ingredients, our starters was salad where all the ingredients was harvest just 20 meters away form our dining table in their own garden. You can’t get any fresher then that and the taste was crisply amazing. You feel welcomed from the very first minute you step into the reception, all of the rooms have a story and thought behind them. There is no mainstream hotel feeling, just 100% personal touch from check-in to check-out and we couldn’t have had any better stay in Aurland. If you are looking for a stay that is special, personal and gives something back to the nature, you have found it.

Hostel • Apartments • Cafe • Pub • Kiosk • Activity Centre • Events & Meetings Florli is a roadless hamlet serviced by four ferries per day. It lies deep into the spectacular Lysefjord, close to the Kjerag bigwalls. Florli is popular for its 4444 steps right up the mountain - the longest wooden stairway in the world. It is also known for its hydropower history - in the power hall you can visit the exposition and enjoy the summer-open Power Cafe. Florli is a place to relax. It is also a basecamp for great outdoor adventures. Wake up to the perfect mirror of the silent fjord on a warm summer day. Feel the fresh fjord breeze in your face as you kayak along steep shores. Get your thrills hovering the void on the Kjeragbolten. Hike right up to enter to the Frafjordheiane Landscape Reserve. Get a lucky bait and row your fish-dinner to shore. There are plenty of others like you in Florli and you will find good company around the bonfire in the big laptent or over a beer in our School-pub.
Had a lovely short stay in Flørli. The ferry brings you right to the bottom of the main attraction, the stairway to the top of the hydroelectric dam. We slept at the historic hostel and had a room with a fantastic view. It’s nothing like a hostel except for the shared barhroom and kitchen. You can order the breakfast basket for a more hotel-like stay. It was lovely! Flørli is a fantastic pittoresque place where you can do spectacular hikes that rivals any famous norwegian nature site, just without the mass tourism. Have a swim in the lake on top of the stairs or in the river on the way down. There are several hiking routes out of Flørli, so we recommend staying more than one night if you’re into that sort of thing. The cafe in the old powerplant serves lunch and dinner, but closes around 7pm, be aware. You can cook your own food at the hostel if your perfer eating later.

Hardingasete – a refuge for body and soul in beautiful Hardanger, where the old meets the new in spectacular surroundings. Hardingasete is now a proud member of De historiske hotel, a membership organization of quality historical hotels. We can accommodate individual guests in our beautiful historical log cabins and storehouses. Meals can be ordered. The unique collection of authentic buildings create a very special atmosphere of calmness and reflection, framed by the fjord and the lush nature. We can offer a range of activities, and easy access to the Hardangerfjord from our own pier, where you can go for a refreshing swim, try to catch a fish or simply enjoy a glass of beer or wine while enjoying the view. There is free Wi-Fi on the site. You can also rent Hardingasete for seminars and conferences, management events and teambuilding. This is also the ideal spot for ceremonies like weddings
On a 2 week trip through Norway, we wanted a place in the middle of the trip to stay to re-energize. This is that place! Quiet, tranquil, and in the trees. Rustic Luxury! They ask you what you want for breakfast the day before. The outdoor wood-fired hottubs are really interesting especially later in the day as the view will include the sunset!! The dock down by the fjord was a favorite place just to chill, play cards, or have a great conversation with the family.
