Hospitality, Location, view to Kanchenjunga and overall ambiance. Host are very nice. They know how to make a home stay like if you are really in your home. Just add something in Breakfast, may one one egg that's all I was missing. I give 5/5 for this place.

I would have rated zero star if there was an option. I booked two rooms for me and my family. I was sent pictures on whatsapp by the owner and assured that tv and geyser will be available 24 hours in whatsapp and charged me Rs 1200 per non view room double bed. As soon as I checked in I found the rooms to be so small and tv was not working for both the rooms. The bed were small not even queen sized. The bathroom was not cleaned with blood around and was so small that there was no place to take showers. They keep their water supply off and you will have have to wait for half an hour for water supply once you come from sightseeing. The staff were so rude and non cooperative that they didn't even changed the lamp of the bathroom which suddenly stopped working in one of the room and we had to use the bathroom using phone flash. Never visit this hotel as it will spoil your mood and trip. Mail for screenshots and videos to support for my statement.

I stayed in this hotel with 7 other friends from dec 1-3. We faced a number of issues during our stay. 1) The hotel has very bad connectivity to the nearby market. 2) The rooms did not have any heater. We had to pay an extra amount for the same, which also failed to work 3) The geyser functions intermittently, only the lucky ones amongst could manage tk get it 4) The checkout time was 12pm when booked, but we were asked to check out an hour earlier, to make matters worse they turned the wifi off even before 11. 5) Do not take the local sightseeing package offered by the hotel, as the local cabs provide it in a much cheaper rate. 6) The driver provided by the hotel was rude,so were most of the other hotel staff.

Hotel Birdie's Nest is situated in central Darjeeling and Mall is very near to the hotel and taxi stand or rail station is very near to the hotel.
We stayed here for 3 days and each and every moment here felt as if we were in our home only. Even though the infrastructure is not that good as compared to the other hotels but the hospitality and careness is really appreciable. The food is authentically Bengali oriented and is really really scrumptious enough to give u a good satisfaction. The manager and the other coworkers are very hardworking and are very quick with their work.Highly recommendable place to live in right in the heart of queen of hills.

Although there are better hotels than this one, none can beat the location of this property. If you are lucky, you can see the Kanchenjunga right from your room's balcony. All the rooms have a balcony but try to take rooms in the 1st or 2nd floor. The food is descent, but go for the Indian preparations. Do not try any fancy items from the menu. They have a bar and an attached off-shop. You can either drink at the bar or buy a bottle from the shop and enjoy your drink with snacks. The suite rooms are very large. All rooms come with heater but none of them have fans. I have visited the property twice (Feb 2020 and Sep 2021) The weather was cold and pleasant hence, I did not require fans. But with global warming on the rise, soon it may be a necessity.

The homestay is clean, comfortable and well managed. It has a brilliant view, overlooking the hills and tea gardens of the Happy valley tea estate.Very accessible from main market area, observatory hill and Happy valley Tea estate. The warmth and hospitality of this lovely couple made my stay at Darjeeling extremely comfortable. It was my first-ever solo travel and Mr Dipak went out of his way to make me feel safe in the hill town, showed me the important landmarks around (so that I don't get lost!), helped me with itineraries of places to see and restaurants to eat at. He even made time and took me out on an early morning stroll and showed me spectacular views of Kanchenjunga. And you are assured to wake up to some brilliant food. The lady of the house is ever cheerful, warm and welcoming. Their hospitality and care is par excellence. I would definitely recommend this homestay to families and solo-travelers.

Hotel Spring Burn is a Beautiful property located in Darjeeling. It is located very close to the famous Himalayan Tibet Museum. The hotel has a lot of modern amenities, including power backup and CCTV cameras. The rooms are furnished luxuriously, with hardwood flooring, hairdryer, personal toiletries and TV. The rooms are thoroughly sanitizer twice a day in compliance with Ministry of Health guidelines. The hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi for guests as well as access to a well stocked library. The Beautiful property is very chic and modern, with stylish furniture and sumptuous complimentary breakfast. There are quite a few good eateries located in the vicinity and the hotel is located very close to the Mall Road.
Visited with my family and Friends Family , including 3 Kids. We booked and stayed in 3 rooms on the ground Floor. Its a cosy family run hotel, structured more like a bed and breakfast type than a typical hotel. The owners are extremely warm and welcoming. However the service part was a bit lacking, wherein we had to follow up for drinking water and television services were suspended for non payment of DTH services in all three rooms that we stayed in. We kept on requesting for recharging the the same so that the kids can watch, for all the three days , but absolutely no actions were taken and we got a feedback every time that it is being processed. The breakfast was average, with the kitchen not having basic things like pickle and black pepper. Otherwise the stay was good, the rooms were excellent and they have bed warmers which is perhaps the best thing you can ask for in those temperatures.

I'm not sure what to make of this place. It could be 4 star, it could be 2. The room itself is comfortable enough. The beds are fairly soft, etc. However it is cold though, with holes in the wall for ventilation it gets cold and damp. The family are nice, with things mostly left to one man. Communication is a slight issue but you can work around it. However, service is too friendly. For example, after clearly stating that we'd like to sleep until 10am (we'd been out to see the sunrise), we had a knock on the door at 7am and 8am regarding breakfast. They let us stay until 4pm (check out was 12) which was nice Food okay Again, not sure what to make of Ghoom. It's 20 minutes shared can (20 rupees) from Darjeeling. You need to depart outside the train station which is 10 mins walk away. Ghoom and Darjeeling are both very dirty but Ghoom is smaller so slightly more bearable.

Checked out from Three V lodge couple of days ago ? We reached Darjeeling late around 8ish and due to bad network couldn't get through to the hotel. Finding the place at first can be a lil tricky but we did get through with the help of a local guy who happened to travel in same taxi. Happy to find people who leave you to door step in an unknown city in such situations. Alphonse, the hotel owner was kind enough to get us a quick meal since we reached late and everything was closed. Indeed meal was yummy. The room is exactly as stated on website so no issues there. Clean beds, attached washroom and nice view from window. Alphonse did ensure to pass any information required about the city and things to do plus shared his experiences and vast knowledge on treks & bike riding ?? I would recommend this place to any young enthusiast or solo traveller who wants to have closer and real understanding of the city.
