This hotel is perfect for business travellers who need a short stop over or, travellers business or holiday to stay for longer periods. on and a place to feel safe, secure and very welcome. The location is close to the business community and whilst there is no swimming pool or beach at the end of the garden with only TSH 5000-10000 you can use Uber to access all of the nearby tourist resorts, have a meal in seafood, indian, chinese or local restaurants, spend the day at their pool. The breakfast menu (included in the price) includes a percolator machine for various types of coffee, freshly cut salads and cold meats, fresh fruit and fruit juice, warm sausages beef and port, bacon also beef and pork, eggs, toast served with jam and honey and a wide range of tea. I met a wide range of business travellers.during my stay and formed some good friendships both with the personnel and even with long-term guests. Each individual of the personnel make you feel like a welcome family member, with focus to ensure your needs are covered and that your stay is comfortable. They helped me to find the best shopping facilities, change my SIM cards, draw cash at the various outlets, identify local restaurants, businesses and resorts, arranged tours for me to museums and even a trip all the way to Bagamoya. The hotel dining room also serves as a restaurant and I had some very excellent meals served in that restaurant. There is also a conference room available for guests and the hotel has both rooms and apartments. The apartment I stayed in had its own shower/toilet with all the facilities one could expect, soap, shampoo, conditioner, even body creme. The double bed had fresh white linen changed daily. The windows have mosquito nets, can be open or closed and there is an air conditioner in the bedroom and lounge. The lounge had a single double and treble sofa chair available, sofa table, and open to the kitchen with a table and chairs, stove, sink, micro oven and small fridge. Each day a complimentary fresh bottle of water was given. Outside the restaurant / reception one could sit and enjoy the garden and be served from the restaurant or just sit and work on your tablet. There is a plug to give power to your batteries. A truly fabulous visit. My first stay in Tanzania and I could not have chosen a better spot for my stay. Thank you all ! :)

Mikadi Beach Camp & Backpackers derives its name from the Mikadi tree which thrives along the beautiful Tanzanian coastline. We offer en-suite rooms and simple bandas idyllically located on the beach in the Kigamboni area of Dar es Salaam, a lively and fun area. We are only 20 mins from the Zanzibar ferry so ideally placed for those travelers wanting to visit Zanzibar before or after their stay. Mikadi offers SUP paddle boards and organizes boat trips to the nearby islands for snorkeling & camping.
Best beach for a laid-back afternoon close to town. If you prefer quiet, better book weekdays. I stayed on a weekday, it was nice laidback and... quiet. These guys are pulling off a good kitchen I totally recommend the fish fingers and the nacho cheese/guagamole. Falling asleep with Ocean waves in the background is much better than many places downtown and there are not so many things that can beat waking up with sun rays tickling on your face and seeing the ocean first thing. This place is getting better every time I come back. What it has always been: the perfect spot to unwind if you need s hort break just before yiou take off to Zanzibar...

We stayed here for 2 nights after arrival in Dar es Salem. prior to the commencement of our Safari tour. rooms are comfortable with queen size bed which was very good for sleeping. Rooms had a writing table, chair and 2 lounge type chairs. Curtains in the room need repair were torn at the ends and did not fit the window well. Light entered the room at daybreak. Bathroom was ok but when you had a shower everything gets wet. Towels were very good. Breakfast and meals were on the first floor. It was a buffet type.fresh fruit, fruit juice. Eggs made as you wanted, scrambled, omelette etc.toast, jam and honey, tea and coffee The restaurant is very small and there is a menu for dinner choices. Please make sure you allow plenty of time from ordering to receiving your meal. Five of us had to wait 90 minutes for our meals to arrive.

Enjoy the real African way of life - Private accommodation - B&B - on the outskirts of Dar es Salaam on the way to Bagamoyo. The house on Eazy's 500 square meters plot has two rooms which are surprisingly cool due to the huge windows that let in the constant fresh breeze from the near ocean. As we have just installed solar panels on the roof, there is electricity for lights everywhere and also for charging phones etc. Rain water is collected in 500 l tanks enough for washing and cleaning. There is aliving room and the bed room with its king size bed for a peaceful sleep tucked securely into the mosquito net.
Eazy’s place is an authentic, safe and very nice place to stay outside the hustle of Daressalam. It is a bit rural, but for me this was a great plus and helped to its romantic charm. Above all, the host Eazy is the best, nicest, most helpful host to have. It doesn’t matter which problem or question you’ll have, Eazy can help out.

I stayed here for 2 separate flights and it was good value. The hotel is basic but very clean and comfortable with large rooms and bathrooms. Great in room WIFI and AC. Breakfast is basic but adequate. Plane noise is not an issue. There are some local shops outside but not much else so not a destination hotel. The reason you stay here is for the location near the airport and the airport transfer. I had some challenges with pick up but forgave this as I booked at fairly short notice both times. My tip is to confirm pick up as soon as you book.

Peaceful, nice little hostel where services were ok, food good and rooms clean. Breakfast on the roof terrace with good view. We got tuk-tuk or taxi very easily with help of hostel personnel. We go there second time if visiting Dar es Salaam.

The friendly and knowledgable staff made the stay very enjoyable. The food was top notch, and they were able to cater my trip around my hectic schedule. Great atmosphere at the lodge and Baker and Sons gives back to the community, so you know that when you book your stay here, you are being a part of something bigger.

I had booked and paid for this hotel in advance via Expedia. When I arrived late night there was no one at the reception. After a few hellos someone woke up and stood up from behind the counter. However they had no record of my booking. Luckily I had brought a print out of my Expedia booking and after about 30 mins of discussions in Swahily which I did not understand among the first person an a couple others who had appeared they gave me a room of the 4th floor. No elevator. The room was a shock. Other than the bed and the bathroom there was literally about 5 to 10 additional square feet of floor space. Just enough to park my bags and shoes. The hotel is located on the main road and the back of the hotel overlooks the slums of the city. No city view or ocean view here. It was extremely noisy even through the night. There were gaps in the windows that allowed all noise in. I requested a 1st floor room several times and was given one late the next day. Advantage.. did not have to climb so many stairs. Disadvange.. Noise got a lot louder. The hotel advertised WiFi.. It only worked if you stood in front of the reception and that too sometimes. So essentially there was no WiFi. The bed sheets were changed daily but on multiple occasions they had stains including large blood stains on them so I had to go down and get them exchanged. I could go on and on. I had gone at a time when there was a conference in town and pretty much every hotel in the area was full else I would probably left the next day. Also I had prepaid for the stay and was not sure if I could get any money back. In short, if you can avoid this place like the plague. Happy travels.

We stayed here for 3 nights as a family of 4 with 8 year old and 12 year old. Everything was smooth and any requests were addressed very quickly. Nixon and Jacqueline were great hosts. Friendly and always smiling. Our kids loved them. Lodge in great location with ample basic facilities. Food was good overall.
