The owner is very friendly. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Beds are confortable. Rooms on the graden side are very quiet. The only disappointment was breakfast. We were expecting a better one looking at the picture on the website and the grading of the restaurant.

The 30 people gite called "le domaine de venoise" is named after the 13th century medieval tower the upper part of which emerges on the photo. After the manner of the old Paris foundations found at the foot of "le Louvres", we have chosen to interate in the living parts and sometimes in the rooms, the rough high defensive walls of the hidden tower. One moves between the different levels by crossing the tower.
This B&B reflects the charm of this amazing village. You walk in through a little courtyard and the lobby room is warmed by a huge fireplace. At the back a few tables for breakfast colourfully laid. Our room was spacious, clean, quaint, huge and comfortable bed and peaceful views over the walls through the countryside. Old style bathroom with big shower, plenty of hot water and towels. Nice breakfast, owners have as much style as kindness, and they know how to make guest happy also with a personalised touch which is always nice. Highly recommended.

Kimaro Farmhouse is a wonderful establishment in the French countryside, a few hours from Paris. It's impossible to explain the magical serenity of this small farm. Located on the farm are five safari tents with an amazing "Out of Africa" feeling, and a stone cottage, Twiga House. Just up the road is Momella House where we stayed. The units are all self catering although the amazing proprietors, Robby and Marlene, host a dinner table two nights a week with fabulous food. Fresh baked bread can be arranged for morning delivery. There also is a campfire gathering at least one night during the summer as well as yoga classes. A small pond, chicken and duck enclosure and surrounding pastures home to beautiful white cattle complete the bucolic scene. Our house was beautifully decorated with lots of African decor touches and had everything needed to cook with ease. There was a deck out back for alfresco dining and a nice view. There was one bedroom and a common area with a child's room upstairs and a another double bedroom downstairs. There was only one bathroom and that was downstairs. The living room had a wood fireplace/stove and comfortable seating and a big dining table. Wifi worked throughout the house. If you contact them they'll help arrange for you to stay even without transport. There are many sightseeing opportunities in the area, which is absolutely beautiful and full of friendly people. Truth be told, we just didn't want to leave and plan to return ASAP.

A perfect stop on the way from/to the south of France. Everything was perfect, the room, the friendly Isabelle and David and of course the meal and the wine...and the addition was light. Don’t hesitate to make a stop...

Recently renovated accommodation, located in the Village of Chatillon en bazois, bordered on side by the river and on the other by the canal du Nivernais. There are 6 bedrooms for 17 persons and 2 barrels, each one for 2/3 persons. The place is very calm. In the groundfloor, a great room can welcome 100 persons ( ideal for birthday party, marriage...)
We stated here one night while cycling the canal. We arrived mid-afternoon and called and the owner came immediately and gave us a key. She was also accommodating to our desire to have an early breakfast so we could cycle before the heat of the day. The place is redone with everything modern. The room was spacious and clean. There was locked storage for the bicycles. There is a comfortable common room for guests to share and a pleasant outdoor area.

We choose this hotel because of it's good food ( according to other people's opinion) and because they accept dogs. Oh well, for the dog it was not bad, 100 meters from the hotel you can have nice walk with your dog . Concerning the restaurant, well , I guess the food was good, I ate salad, it took them 45 minutes to bring it to me, and for my fish it took them over two hours, so I have no idea how it was tasting, I left the table and went to sleep more or less hungry. However, the night was not all that good , either, pillows where very uncomfortable, we could hear every word what other people said and so on . Room is small, breakfast is poor. All in all- I was happy to go next morning Shame, actually, village and surroundings are very beatifull , too bad I have such a bad memories about it ...

Very nice B&B, with spacious rooms, a magical atmosphere & very nice staff (and not to forget the castle cat Sacha, who loves a cuddle). From the moment you arrive you feel very welcome. A must visit, and only 2 hours from Paris! Only remark, don’t go and eat in the Le Padock (racing restaurant not so far from the castle) this “kills” a bit the romance as this is a highway type of restaurant. Go to Nevers ;)
