The charms of the Czech Republic's second-largest city may not be immediate, but spend a few days in this Moravian town and Brno's vibrant, authentic Czech ambiance will win you over. It's a fine way to experience Czech life without the teeming herds of tourists that visit Prague. Art Nouveau, Empire and Neoclassical buildings stand in the bar- and restaurant-packed old city center. Leafy parks abound. Be sure to get a photo with a local landmark, the suspiciously crocodilian Brno Dragon statue.

Sono hotel is well designed modern building. Hotel is part of the Sono centrum with a great music club and restaurant.
The hotel is new, modern, looks beautiful. We were in room 605. The room is small yet still perfect for stay. Everything was clean. The TV does not support Netflix (it was not expected). The bathroom with shower looks just great. One wall is just glass with a beautiful view to sunset. It cannot be opened. However, the AC works just fine for ventilation. These things together isolated us perfectly from any noise (with one exception, see later). The breakfast: perfect. Selection of eggs, bacon, cheese, sausages, bread, jam and many others. They offer bigger teapots than usually in hotels. Everything here was just perfect except for one thing: noise from the music club on Friday night. The noise was really strong; the music started at 10pm. Summary: it is a great choice, just not on Friday nights.

We were very surprised when we arrived. The pension in Brno suburban still not far from downtown by car. There is nice restaurant there with good food and beer. Everything is new and clean and with plenty of space. Big breakfast included.

I work near the AMI penzion in University Campus. It is very good family hotel. Cheap, but clean and very kind owner and his family. Very good location near the city center, good parking in the street.

Very disapointed when we entered the "apartment". First of al you don't get the whole apartment but you get one single room and have to SHARE everything. Second the apartment smelt like cigarets all the time while there is a non smoking policy? Last of al in the rules stated to be silent but our roommates where noisy all the time, as of they were staying with 5 persons in one room. Very bad staying an a real WAISTE OF MONEY.

We stayed here as an easy move from the airport before moving on the following day. The room was smelly, with curtains only covering one half of the window. The towels were long past their sell-by date, toilets were dirty, furniture was in need of attention and so on. Reception was very good, and the free on-site parking was also useful. Only recommended if you have no other options for a short one-night stay.
