Brittany's dramatic 750-mile coastline traces a rugged hem against the chilly Atlantic. Attractions such as St-Malo's 1689 Fort National, the prehistoric ruins and striking beauty of Gavrinish Island and Brest's Oceanopolis aquarium cling to the rocky shoreline of France's most northwestern province. Nantes, Rennes and Brest are the largest cities. Rennes is just two hours from Paris by TGV. Breton and Gallo, the ancient languages of this Celtic province, are still spoken in pockets throughout the area.

Very nice hotel, we stayed there for a weekend with a friend and we really enjoyed it. It has very good quality / price ratio. The staff is very friendly and the check in and check out is easy. The kitchen works perfectly as well as the wifi. Maybe the only flaw is that you have to pay 7€ for cleaning. Other than that, great experience.

Le Manoir de Alleu is a 17th century house surrounded by a park of 8 hectares.Un unusual place in nature where we welcome you for your stay in lodging or guest room. Most unusual and even closer to nature, you can sleep in a treehouse, perched seven meters above the ground. This family property stolen is a parenthesis in the modern world, an authentic site nestled in the heart of unspoilt nature. Enjoy the quiet and greenery of the environment where time seems to stop ...
We had six nights on the chambre d'hote basis. We really liked the place. Full of old world charm. Delicious breakfasts. Very warm wecome and lots of useful advice and assistance e.g. we had forgotten to take an electricity adapter. Also, recommendations to local places to eat in the evening.

We booked this bed and breakfast via booking.com we were told we could not arrive until after 5pm so we arrived about 6:30 Loaded down with bags we arrived at the door and encountered a surly cranky girl of about 20. There is no reception for guests. Without welcome or greetings, she started to go up the stairs. I noticed there were two sets of stairs and because I have mobility issues asked which floor we were on. She replied, the second floor. I tried to explain that I had problems with stairs and was rudely interrupted and told that I could not have a room on a lower floor unless I paid much more money. I refused, and she became aggressive with me. Shouting at the top of her voice. We did get to the top of the second set of stairs but did not get to see the room before She suddenly decided that we could not stay there. She said I can let this room no problems, you can go somewhere else. She then Banged the door in our faces and told us to phone booking.com for a refund.. Well, this was the first time we ever received such disgraceful and atrocious treatment from a hotel or bed and breakfast. The young woman just had a hissy fit and refused to honour our prepaid booking. When I requested a refund she said phone booking.com and literally banged the door in my face again. I did get booking to issue a refund which was not immediate as it takes up to seven days, so ended up having to pay for another hotel at a much higher price. I will be reporting this issue to the St Malo tourist body and would like to warn other travellers. I note another reviewer had a similar issue when the reception closed before they arrived. Leaving them out of pocket as well and looking for somewhere to stay late in the evening. This is not a hotel or bed and breakfast in my opinion and certainly is not professional or hospitable. Booking.com are aware, but are still selling this provider . Save yourself the aggravation and abuse and book elsewhere is my advice.

A landscape and a view on the sea , rare in French Brittany . The new owner, his wife and the staff are real smiling and sympathic French professionals which is unusual.. The lodge is very well designed with a local and pretty decoration and a terrasse directly in front of the ocean Restaurant has a great meat and fish carte with a good variety of wines Lounge also is quite and well located Perfect for a quite reasonable price Congratulations ! Highly recommended

Fantastic place to stay. Great for people who are interested (even if only in their remotest dreams like me) in living in a tiny house. Wild surroundings, clean building, great amenities - will be visiting again! Within a decent walk from the nearest beaches, and striking distance from the beautiful seaside village of Larmor-Baden.

We were delighted with our stay at the Chateau. After travelling down the wooded lane we arrived at the gorgeous old world 'cours' and were welcomed by the Viscount and his delightful niece. We were two couples. My husband and I had the red suite which included an large salon with sofas and tables. There were family portraits on the walls and views over the gardens. Our bedroom boasted a beautiful red satin canopy and lovely antique furniture. The bathroom was quaint with lovely panelling. There are family photographs everywhere and it is is clear that the owners are very happy in their surroundings. Our friends had the Viscount's old bedroom with a private bathroom just down the corridor. The bathroom was so big is even had a daybed in it! We had hoped to get a taxi into St Brieuc for dinner but apparently the village does not have a taxi service and they would have to come out from St Brieuc at a hefty price. Marie Josephine, the Viscount's niece offered to make us a light supper in the garden which we gratefully accepted. The meal and wines were delicious and we had a long chat with the Viscount and Viscountess. The breakfast was at a huge table in the family dining room and, again, everything was superb. The house is a family home and as such is quirky. Those wanting the standard of a 5* hotel ought to go to a hotel instead of the chateau. We, however, enjoyed it all the more as it is 'natural' and has evolved over many centuries. The house is full of the family's antiques and charm. We would not wish it any other way. Everything you could wish for was provided, plenty of hot water, tea/coffee, WIFI, television, plenty of space to puts things. We think they have 'got it' just right for those who appreciate historic buildings. The Viscount is a keen hunter and there is evidence everywhere, even on the dining area sofa where a gorgeous red fox sleeps the eternal sleep! The little dog Coquin was sweet and very friendly and the owners do welcome guest's dogs. The gardens are extensive and a delight to wander through. There are garden tables and chairs everywhere on the property so one can hide away with a book and a cold drink at any time. Louis and Joelle Du Fou de Kerdaniel are a delightful couple and very welcoming to their guests. I think they take great pleasure in sharing their beautiful home with others. We will return as soon as possible!

The hotel La Grenouillère propose various type of rooms, 2 stars. We also offer family rooms and rooms for the disabled. The hotel “La Grenouillère” propose a wide choice of room service, such as: - TNT dispopnible - Canal + and CanalSat available. Our animal friends. Know that we accept pets at the La Grenouillère in Vitre. So you can stay with your dog, cat or other ! We ask only that the animal is clean and not Noisy.
Apart from the price, it is difficult to find really positive points for this property. Room and bathroom outdated, breakfast without flavor (it is better to take one elsewhere) ... In short, we come for the price.
