We came here just for one night because we wanted to see Mont Saint-Michel. Happy it was just one night. The place is really worn down. Looks quite sad and it goes even down to the towels. The towels were so worn they even had holes. The place was not properly cleaned with old spider webs, sticky floor, definitely not cleaned underneath the table and the kitchen didn’t even have a proper mug to make yourself a cup of tea. The beds were hard as sleeping on the floor, even our small daughter complained. For seeing the monastery fine but don’t expect anything!

Enjoy your stay in Pontorson!
The room at the hotel was a bit of the old-fashioned French variety with each bath fixture opening directly into the bedroom without sound isolation. For the price it is fine but I would advise staying closer to Mont St. Michel as the hotels are more up to date although lacking in charm. The breakfast was copious and included in the price and one can help themselves to coffee or tea at any time which is a lovely aspect to the place. the town is rather drab but does have many boulangeries and restaurants and creperies and was chosen by me because there is a public bus to take to Mont St. Michel from the railroad station, about a block away. The parking situation fro Mont St. Michel sounded really complicated so I tried to avoid it by stqying in Pontorson, but now that I have been there, I think the parking would have been fine. Very nice to sit at breakfast and talk with other guests from other countries.

Recommend for hotel and food Amazing room overlooks Omaha beach. Restaurant serves great food overlooking beach. We had Amuse bouche salmon mousse Fois gras ravioli in white cream sauce Rumpsteak with white asparagus carrots and whipped potatoes Chicken Breast stuffed with apples with same sides. Basil ice cream on graham cracker dust and Breton butter cookie with Normandy cream mousseline topped with strawberries, apple, kiwi and raspberries embellished raspberry coulis for dressy. Each course was excellent!! Will add breakfast review tomorrow. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay! The bed was super comfortable and big. The room was huge. Everything was spotless. The bathroom was good as well as the shower. Breakfast was superb: crossaints, cake, bread, jam, yoghurt, fruit, orange juice, coffee, chocolate...and many of these things were home made. The location is wonderful. Quiet and great to explore everything around Utah Beach. The host was extremely nice and hospitable. It was definetely one of (if not the) best accomondation on our two-week-trip through France. Wifi could have been better.

A green oasis in Normandy. Le Moulin du Vey proposes cottages and rooms in the heart of Normandy. We invite you to come and enjoy the green countryside of Normandy called Suisse Normande. Take time out to relax and enjoy everything this wonderful spot has to offer from the flowing rivers to the rolling hills. Your stay at Le Moulin du Vey, a charming watermill which has been sympathetically restored : the authenticity, the hospitality, the conviviality and a complete offer of leisure and outdoor activities.
We have just spent 3 very pleasant nights in this simple, but comfortable and quiet, chambres d'hotes in the Suisse Normande. Situated in its own pretty and extensive grounds, this converted mill house is just across the river Orne from several restaurants, and places for hiring kayaks and boats. Our hosts were considerate intelligent people who made us feel very welcome.

Lovely characterful stone converted farm buildings, our room in the separate house was clean & comfy. Food & wine were great. Handy location to visit Caen, D-Day landing beaches & memorial museums plus Le Mont St Michel.

La Ferme Des Montaigu, Self Catering Gite & B&B is the perfect place to stay, relax in the beautiful Normandy Countryside. We are set in 3 acres of beautiful gardens, orchard and grassland, for everyone to relax and enjoy. Ideally situated near the market town of Villedieu Les Peoles making all the major attractions easily accessible.
Pros: It is a very family friendly and quiet place. Annie and Jean-Pierre are excellent hosts. Family room with lake view was big. Breakfast was amazing, especially home made crepes and jams. Kids were happy to run around, swing and watch a donkey, goats, a hen and cows. There is a beautiful lake so don't forget your fishing rod. We used a washing machine and dried the clothes outside - great help with small kids. Cooking facilities are fine too. Kids enjoyed pasta and we had plates with different French cheeses and meat. Location is great for visiting St Michael and other points of interest in lower Normandy. We absolutely loved Abbaye de Hambye wich is very close to the farm. Jean-Pierre doesn't speak English and there is no English TV but it wasn't a problem at all. Now our French is better. I would recommend this place. Thank you for everything. Cons: Mold in a bathroom and smell of damp in a room but it was ok when windows were open. WiFi isn't great probably because of remote location. No mobile phone network coverage.

Find a cave or sleep in your car I have never experienced a room like this room 15 I have photographs to prove what I am saying to be true .It was virtually impossible to use the toilet also I have photographs the inspector of Contact hotels must have missed room 15 because he would not sign off on this hotel. They say in there brochure there is parking facilities for free what they don't tell you is you must have the driving skills of a formula 1 ace.Never again, and to think he could charge 59.70 euro for the experience.
