Best known as the birthplace of St. Francis, Italy's patron saint, Assisi lies amid Umbria's rolling hills. Religious pilgrims have come here for centuries to visit the Basilica of San Francesco (where St. Francis is buried) and the Basilica of Santa Chiara (to see the tomb of St. Clare). Visit the Eremo delle Carceri to see caves where medieval hermits withdrew from the world. (You may find such solitude quite appealing—especially if you're here on a daytrip from Rome!)

Paolo and his family are amazing hosts: they provided us with everything we needed, they definitely exceeded our expectations! You'll find a perfectly clean room, equipped with all the amenities, in a fairytale place (a wood on a hill). In front of your room you will find an outdoor patio just for you (we opted for a take away dinner in order to enjoy the meal right there, it was so beautiful and peaceful we couldn't miss the opportunity). Also, breakfast was delicious ?

Dipped in an evocative scene between the Umbrian hill sides and the ancient city of Assisi, Re Artu can make you living experiences from the authentic taste, in rich places of history, culture and mysticism. In the heart of the Park of Monte Subasio, along the Franciscan way, between olive trees and lives, hills in escape, sunny slopes, brushstrokes of colours in continuous change, Re Artu opens the sight in front of himself to the evocative magic of Assisi, an eternal beauty.
Great place to be. Bed&Breakfast Apartments property about 2 miles outside of Assisi where you can safely park your car, stay and sleep very peacefully. Studios and apartments are well equipped with kitchen and all you need to cook if needed. But my suggestion is to go out because restaurant in this area are amazing. People and Staff there are very helpful. Nice swimming-pool.

We had decent local cold meats and Octopus for for 3 of the starters but the prawn & basil pasta was bland and stodgy. Mains were a disappointment with very tough and fatty lamb where it was on the menu as rack & rump but we only got cutlets and tough tasteless beef. Rooster was tasty and different but 2 out of 5 main meals was poor for the prices we paid! Nice atmosphere, wine and staff but overall expensive for a disappointing meal. Would struggle to recommend and we have had much better this week in Umbria

We were a group of 6 ladies from Ireland returning to complete the Way of St Francis from Assisi to Rome We had a disastrous transfer from airport expecting to arrive 22.00 but due to taxis failure to have a charged mobile/sat nav did not arrive until nearly 2.00 am! We were warmly welcomed by 2 members of staff and quickly shown to our rooms Spotlessly clean everywhere, nice linens and towels Agreed to serve breakfast later than normal due to our late arrival, much appreciated , good communication by means of a spoken app and helpful directions given. Waived late check in charge due to fact was beyond our control. A very positive experience and would not hesitate to recommend!

The rooms Mimosa are situated at about 800 metres from the historical centre of Assisi, all set within a beautiful and peaceful landscape of rolling green hills. The rooms are equipped with private bathroom with hairdryer and shower, minibar, telephone colour TV and private parking. Our guests are welcomed to complimentary use of the pool of the Hotel “la Terrazza” which is situated few metres from our rooms.
Its just an apartment room that is let out. Its not a hotel. So don't expect any sort of extra facilities like breakfast etc. They have a tie up with a neighbor hotel La Terraza. Located in a very calm and quiet place which is expected from such a small town. If you are travelling with small children or do not have a car and also do not fancy long walks, its better to avoid. the walk to city center is more than a km. The breakfast at La Terazza had horrible spread and we were asked Euro 15 for that. When we were about to walk out they lowered it down to Euro 5. Even then it was an overkill.

The rooms are located in a historic building in Assisi, in the heart of the city, in a central position to all services, monuments and places to the most significant and important. Just 30 mt. from Piazza del Vescovado where there is the Romanesque church oldest in the city, Santa Maria Maggiore, right next to the Santa Chiara Basilica and very close to Piazza del Comune, the town center, where you will find the magnificent Temple of Minerva with the Roman Forum below. A ten-minute walk from the Basilica of San Francesco, respectively, from the Abbey of Saint Peter and the Duomo, the Cathedral of San Rufino, Rooms Mariani Marini is the ideal stay for all those who are looking for a quiet, simple, serene and rich in history and culture
I have definitely enjoyed the kindness of the owner who lives on the first floor and let's you have flexible checkin and checkout hours. The room is big enough and has a wonderful view of the nearby hills. The bathroom might be too small for a big person and therefore be careful if your size is XXL. The bed is comfortable but the pillows too thin and the armoire tends to make funny noises when you open it up. The location is unbeatable and the price very convenient.

If you ever had a vision of Paradise on Earth, this is it! I had an amazing stay here at le Sorgenti, in Paradiso, right outside of Assisi. It might as well be called ‘garden of Eden’. Marzia and Vladis are your lovely hosts, and nature here is enchanting. In all my years of travelling, never have I encountered such beauty! A well kept secret, a perfect antidote to life’s stressful rythm. Thank you Marzia and Vladis for your generous and discreet presence. I shall be back soon!

Spent a beautiful day at this beautiful medieval UNESCO town, Assisi in Perugia of Umbria. There are many churches, the famous Basilica di San Francesco d'Assisi, picturesque corners and alleys and nice restaurants and shops. Definitely worth spending a full day there.
