We came to Jageshwar from down South India expecting minimum facilities at little town. To our surprise our stay was memorable and beyond our expectations. Facilities and Hospitalityof Vanserai were more than 5star rating which made us missing the place when we left. Keep it up good work and all the best.

Nayalap in the summers is a whole different feeling. Relax in the shade of the large oak trees. Enjoy some of our delectable fresh juices and cold soups. Take hikes into the forest of to villages. Laze around in the hammock or on your bed. Spend the day in the lounger reading a book. Nayalap, like Kumaon, is perfect for the summers.
If you are looking at a place with all the comforts and as close to nature as it can possible get then don't think further and visit Nayalap. If we were to sum up our stay in one word it would be "blissful". The tents are comfortable, the food is simple homely but delicious ( our kids chose this food over pizza which they can organise during our stay there), the service standards of Chandan, Prem and babloo are nothing less than Taj, we were told yes for everything with a smile and both Tanuja and Anindya are really warm host who have put their heart behind creating this heaven... It reflects in every corner of the property. There are many day activities like treks picnics they can plan which are really good or else even if you were to just venture out of the property in the pine forest it's beautiful. And if you are a dog lover they do have resident dog Romeo and Elsa who literally made our trip even more worthwhile !

Here you stay in the traditional heritage Kumaoni house with a beautiful courtyard overlooking the valley of the sun far away from the madding crowd. You can choose to go on short walks to explore hidden architectural gems. The surrounding mountain ranges are ideal for hiking, camping out in the forest or exploring neighboring villages. Try your hand on stunt kite flying.. go for short cycling trips through jungles and villages .. relish local Kumaoni cuisine.. chat around the camp fire all night long or better still go for a trek in the night .. ;) or choose to simply relax in the 100 year old house listening to the sound of birds and the wind.. Our paragliding site here is also marked as one of the best site in northern India on the world paragliding map.
Daan Kudi, a 140 year old restored village home, with one of the finest teams I have ever come across. The place has abundant with simplicity, sincerity and positive vibrations. Not to miss, the trek, the village trek , was one of my favorite experiences.

Deep in the oak, rhododendron and pine forests with uninterrupted awe-inspiring views of the Himalayas, lies the small Thikalna cottage. If you have dreamt of staying few days in perfect mountainous solitude, miles away from the maddening crowd, then this place is just for you.
If want to enjoy a true peaceful holiday in midst of nature …away from the regular life in the cities…..This beautiful property near Almora is the one…!! Had gone to this beautiful Himalayan village retreat with my friends last month and we had the most relaxing and enjoyable time there. It has a view that can mesmerize you totally. Just imagine a place where you can just sit and read a book and sip some local chai…and with a view of 180 degree of snow capped Himalayas. There are lot of beautiful walks there….our guide and chef..Govind..took us for some beautiful walks around this village and Rhododendrons flowers on the floor was just like a red carpet for us. We highly recommend this place to all the people who love & respect nature. Perfect get away for relaxation. PS> Internet can be a small issue here. But the good part is that its a perfect place to get out of normal mobile routine :)

Pahadi Organic is not just a resort, it's a blend of cultural emotions bundled up with sprinkles of nature, built with the theme of organic retreat reflecting the true essence of Uttarakhand, The Pahadi Organic has now become a symbol of Uttarakhand experience. At Pahadi, we offer you a unique experience with our "Organic Farm to Table" approach of life. Here you can experience the delicious journey of food from our poly houses and open fields through our kitchen, to your table in the form of lip-smacking Garhwali and Kumaoni delicacies, prepared with love and attention to details. Our food revolution is driven by the locals here with enhanced courtesy to sustainability and authenticity being the key - keeping us true to our roots while serving you with an unforgettable glimpse of pahadi life with your luxurious stay. We provide a distinctive balance between nature and luxury where you can hike across the trails, experience the sunrises, dip your toes or take a plunge in the waterfall, glimpse into the local culture and witness our respect to our land and food in our fields, or just sip on a nice cup of tea with sumptuous food prepared for you with utmost respect and integrity. As our guests often say - peace and culture served together indeed!
I visited "The Pahadi Organic" with my family in October, 2021 and it was such a memorable experience. The owner Mr. Chetan Rawat is a very gentle, friendly and helpful person, he not only helped and guided us throughout the stay but also arranged a short trek to a nearby sunset point, trek to river Kosi and also arranged our Safari to Jim Corbet nicely. We had a great time here. The backyard of the hotel is also owned by them, it is very large and mostly used for organic farming. You can visit the farm at your convenience and they have some more rooms for guests uphill. You can do some photography there too. The highlight of "The Pahadi Organic" is its authentic and organic pahadi cuisine. Non-vegetarians will love the desi chicken and mutton recipes here. You should also try the organic red rice and local pakodas with chutney. Make sure you order your food in advance, like order your lunch after breakfast, order for dinner after lunch and breakfast after dinner. This is because they prepare everything according to orders and cook dishes with freshly made spices and ingredients. Nothing is carried forward. The kitchen is open and has glass partitions where you can see the kitchen staff cooking your food on the traditional stove (lakdi ka chulha). The dining area is well designed and boasts some great pahadi paintings and wooden furniture. They also use heavy copper utensils for serving food which is great. All the staff members are very polite and helpful. They do not have many rooms but the rooms are quite large, air-conditioned and well designed with a cupboard and locker. Beds are very comfortable and bathrooms are spacious, well fitted and have all the modern amenities with hot and cold water. There is a common sitting area with a large projector where we enjoyed the IPL Final match with 2 more guest families along with snacks and tea. They also have a full functional Massage chair which is available for all guests FOC. During my stay of 2 days/nights I could rare find the chair free, it was mostly busy relaxing other guests. Never mind, this is a good touch of care for the guests which I didn't find at other similar hotels. There is a large open parking just in front of the hotel with some Ritha trees around. Parking your cars will not be problem here. Just like they say, nothing in this world is Perfect - there are 2 noticeable drawbacks of this hotel - 1. It is almost 30 kms far from Jim Corbett. The roads are bad and steep with many sharp and dark turns which can make driving difficult and risky if you don't have experience driving on the hills. The roads are quite narrow and even have broken side-railings. Drive safely. 2. No mobile network with Airtel and Vodafone. If you have Jio, you will get some weak signals here. So, during your next trip to Jim Corbett if you are looking for an additional adventure of driving and living at a secluded and silent place, having authentic and organic pahadi food, "The Pahadi Organic" is the best choice. This is a must visit place for you and your family. You will not regret your decision and this is not a PAID review, honestly. I am giving a 5 star rating to "The Pahadi Organic". Chetan ji - Thank you.
