Living Word Holy Church, Inc. (Pensacola, FL 32534) could not have had a more excellent stay! We were able to secure the entire lodge for our Women of Word Retreat this year. The accommodations were perfect. The location was serene and peaceful. The staff were professional and welcoming. We had liberty to sing, pray and enjoy the planned activities. Our Pastor, Brenda K. Beasley chose an excellent site for our 2022 Selah - Pause Retreat! I believe we will return soon : ) Apostle Delivian

This hotel discriminates against handicap or wheelchair bound clients. After taking the reservations they would not honor them because one customer was in a wheelchair. They refused to honor the reservations and there was hardly any vehicles in the parking lot so rooms were available. They advertise wheelchair assessable—but don’t honor your reservations if you arrive in one. Very rude front desk person as well.

Tried making a reservation for a week at Cornerstone in Foley, and told them that I had a support dog with me. They insisted on still charging me a Pepsi, but only if my dog was not on the restricted list.

My Corporate Travel Department booked a reservation (through a 3rd Party website since the hotel is not listed in any traditional corporate travel sites), for a medical professional we had working at a local hospital. The reservation was paid in full for 22 nights on a corporate travel card. The Sunday afternoon when the guest arrived, he was told by an absolute curmudgeon that he could not check-in because he was not in possession of the card. Now, any hotel that has experience with CORPORATE bookings understands that the guests do not travel with the card in hand, but clearly this hotel is not one of those. He called me in dismay because not only was he new to the city, he was also here from another country and had nowhere else to go, very little $ and no one to turn to. I got on the phone with the front-desk person Jackie and she proceeded to very angrily "School" me on the fact that he had no right to stay there (???) When I explained that the reservation had been made through my corporate travel team which was closed (remember - Sunday), she said "well that's just TOO BAD then." At this juncture, my exhausted and bewildered employee was on the verge of tears. I offered to put my OWN credit card on file and send her a copy of the back and signature page when she finally agreed to procees the corporate card - which she could have done all along. Fast forward to day 22. His reservation had expired and we needed to extend for a few more days. A specialist from my Corporate Travel Team called the hotel to extend his stay and provide further payment. Lo and behold...someone answers with an aggressive "Extended Stay how can I help?" My travel partner said cheerily, "Good Afternoon, who am I speaking with?" The curmudgeon proceeds to angrily insist that she does not need her NAME and that we called her! (Mind you - this is a place of business and ...umm...hospitality). My travel partner says, "alright, my name is X and I'm calling form XYZ's Corp Travel Dept. about a physician that is staying..." "Oh I know EXACTLY who you're calling about! People seem to FORGET when you've done them a FAVOR and now you calling me to reprimand ME!" (???) The conversation degraded steadily from there. X tried to get the extension confirmed so our employee could continue to rest up for work the next day. It was slow going but she finally got Jackie's name. She then asked for her manager's name - Rhonda, and told her that she would be calling in the morning and hoped she would be there to corroborate her account of what happened - as I would be there. Jackie cut her off with "I don't have time for this, let's get this done." As X began to give her the credit card information...Jackie hung up on her. She called back, Jackie picked up and hung up. She called back again...it rang with no answer. We waited a few minutes, she called back AGAIN, and Jackie's tone had changed- somewhat. Crystal said, "Hello Jackie, we must have been disconnected. I was giving you the card number..." Jackie asked for it, and X provided. Then Jackie said "I APPRECIATE you respecting my..." She went on for another 30 seconds and hung up AGAIN. We WILL be contacting Rhonda, and whoever owns this facility. They may not do anything about Jackie's horrendous behavior, but they will also never get another corporate dollar.

Regular sleeping rooms are very spacious and have two queen-size beds. All guest rooms have a compact refrigerator. Each room is equipped with a one-cup coffee maker, a blow dryer and an iron and ironing board. All suites have a compact refrigerator, microwave and dining table. All suites feature whirlpool tubs. Junior suites have two queen beds and suites are available with either king or queen beds. Children 12 & under stay for free. Additional persons will be charged at a rate of $10 each. Published rates are for 2 adults per room. All rooms are non-smoking.
Rooms are large with a great view. Daniella's restaurant needs improvement. Got a great special, room and seafood buffet for two for $99. Crowded but reasonable spacing for covid times. Got salad, finished and went back for main course selections, back at table, my silverware was gone, was not on salad plate. My husband's was still there. No waitress in sight, asked for replacement at buffet and was treated like it was my fault. Never got tea refill even though she circled the dining room refilling everyone else. Yes, it was our waitress with the tea pitcher. Lesson learned, don't stay on the weekends. Can't imagine summer crowds.

This property is not that far from our home. It was so refreshing to be there within 90 minutes of our home. Check in is after 3 and check out is before 10 (cst). The time will change to an hour past CST before arriving, but change back to CST when on site. This is a gated property and only guests that have reservations or the owner or cleaning staff will be on site. 72 hours before arrival you will be sent a code for the gate and then a code for your door on the same email. We became very confused because on Fish Tales (the one we rented) there was a keypad on the cabin and then one on the door. We found out later that the keypad on the cabin is old and not operational. We finally had to ask for help to get into the cabin. For example: if your code is 1112. You don't just push the 11 button and then another button that has a 12 on it. Push the 11 button 3 times for the 111 and then push another button that shows a 2. The cabin was exactly as shown in the pictures. The kitchen was a galley style, which it was a little tight for my husband and I. We had one small issue regarding housekeeping, but the owner took care of it immediately. And speaking of the owner, she cares. She doesn't push her staff like hotels do, but expects them to do an A+ job with love. I think there are 9 cabins on the Bryant Alabama property. The tree houses shown are over the mountain on their other property in Gill. This property is on a hillside over looking the Nickajack Dam. No smoking inside and no pets in any cabin. The Nickajack dam lights up at night making such a pretty sight in the dark. There is a vending machine in the "snack shop" that has chips, candy, etc. You have to look for it, because the wording on the window is hard to see. There is a dollar general a few miles back down the road. Once inside the gate it is a one lane driveway with little bump outs, in case you encounter another car. The kitchen is fully stocked and the fridge kept our drinks icy cold. There is one roll of paper towels and 2 rolls of tp per cabin. If you need more, bring it with you. Soap is provided at all the sinks, but you must bring your own shampoo, etc for the shower. There is a washer and dryer in your cabin, but you must bring your own detergent. There is not daily cleaning, so you are on your own until your trip is over (which we actually prefer) There is also a safe in the cabin to keep your valuables. The only negative regarding the Fish Tale cabin, was the ceiling fan in the downstairs bedroom, it rattled so badly, we couldn't keep it on at night. There is a dumpster across from the snack shack, to take your trash when your can is full. There is a view on all the cabins on the first row and a peek a boo view on the second row cabins. Cleaning fee is $50 on smaller cabins and $75 on larger cabins. Fish tales did have a $75 cleaning fee. If you want to go to a property that truly cares about their guests and treat you like family, everytime you pass them....this one IS IT! Upon "checkout" you simply take your belongings, lock the doors and leave. We booked again before we even left the property.

Nestled on a point of land along the wooded shores of Lake Martin, Creekside Lodge & Conference Center offers you the many pleasures of the lake, to be enjoyed at your own pace. You can relax by the pool, the fireplace or on the deck. Curl up with a good book, rent our kayaks or canoes, go fishing, golfing or just enjoy the 750 miles of shoreline. Do as much as you want, or as little. Best of all, be pampered like a guest yet made to feel right at home. So for a weekend getaway, family vacation or reunion, wedding reception, business conference or other special event, discover Creekside Lodge & Conference Center.
Was there for a business meeting/conference in early January '19. Stayed 2 nights. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Although I wasn't able to take advantage of the lake I'm sure avid boaters and water sports fans would really enjoy this spot. The downside is there is no restaurant of bar on premise and due to location the surrounding area has limited selection.

Alabama State Park sits on the banks of Lake Eufaula. 1220 acres includes campgrounds, cabins and lakeside cottages
Cabins are in need of renovations. Fairly clean, good for a fisherman’s weekend, but not a family weekend with wife and kids. Overall resort and lodge are very nice, next time will stay at lodge. Dinner at lodge was very good and priced reasonably.

I have stayed at CCC cabins in other Alabama State Parks that were beautiful. Not this one! Front door would not unlock, the screens were ripped on the doors. The inside cleanliness was also an issue. Mentioned this to Campground Manager who seemed indifferent. Her reply was "I'm not house keeping." My grandpa worked for the CCC during the depression. The lack upkeep on the cabins at Monte Sano is shameful. Stayed in Cabin8.

I've never experienced a peace like I did at Chattokee Lodge. I planned a night at the lodge and a quail hunt with my son and when my daughter saw the lodge on the website, she wanted to come too. The three of us spent a magical evening at the lodge and enjoyed a wonderful hunt the next morning. Harlan Starr, the owner and operator, met us as we arrived at 5 pm. We engaged in some enlightening conversation while he cooked dinner. Harlan is an amazing cook. I have to say the filet was the best steak I ever had, and my son and daughter agreed it was the best steak they ever had too. Right up front Harlan explains that the entire lodge is yours for the night. There is no sharing the lodge with other hunters unlike some other larger lodges. The absolute peace you feel in the lodge is indescribable. If you plan a wedding there, I would recommend for the bride and groom to stay on for a night or two. My son and daughter agreed that they felt perfectly at home, like they owned the place. My daughter said, "I buried myself in the couch like I would at home," Chattokee lodge is the perfect place to escape for a night.
