If you're ever in Nice for the weekend and want a quick whistle stop tour of Eze and Monaco then this is your tour. We were picked up by the ever knowledgeable Justin who is English and French speaking. The minibus was nice, clean and spacious Firstly driven to Eze which is about 40 minutes away from Nice centre. We stopped off for a photo op before our arrival. Justin proceeded to provide us with in depth knowledge of Nice and Eze. Once in Eze we were able to explore for about 45 minutes. With a population of 26 people, you are practically walking through people's front rooms. Really good experience, however, it is a uphill trek to get to so wear appropriate footwear. We were then taken to a perfumery and given the history of perfume/soap differentiating the strengths and the ingredients that go into making scents. I learnt a lot here. There is also an opportunity to buy aswell. The next stop was Monaco, although it was raining we were still able to absorb the wonder of the tax free haven for the rich and famous. We saw the casino, drove the route of the F1 race track. Visited the yellow submarine, prince of Monaco's palace and the local cathedral. All were out of this world. We were driven back to central Nice for lunch with some amazing suggestions regarding places to eat from Justin. Overall, this is definitely worth the money and Justin was the best tour guide I've ever encountered.

We took this tour in late December. I don't remember the driver/tour guide's name (sorry) but he was easy to talk to, gave us a lot of information. We started at the winery and met the winemaker George. George spoke only French so our tour guide helped translate but towards the end we were all able to converse a little. It was very cool to see how he ages the wine in the sun. We learned about his wine making process and then tasted several of his wines plus his olives. We bought some bottles to drink back at Nice and I wish we had bought more. The winery is full of beautiful paintings done by the winemaker's brother, who also designs the labels. We then went to St Paul-de-Vence and toured the little village. Since it was Christmas time, the village was decorated and was really very pretty. I recommend this tour if you have any interest in wine (and even if you don't because you might after this tour!). We were a family with 4 young adults, only one was a teen (I had to choose a category) to submit this review.

5. Full-day Private St Paul de Vence, Vence, and Matisse Church Tour from Cannes

Guidtour

In this full day private tour, see two medieval Provencal villages: Vence and St Paul de Vence. Begin with the visit of a chapel entirely decorated by the artist Matisse. Then, your guide will drive you to the perched village of Vence where you can admire the authentic Provencal architecture, before moving towards St Paul de Vence, famous for its craft. There, if desired, you will have the opportunity to visit the cemetery where the painter Chagall is buried. At the end of the tour, your guide will take you back to Cannes.

10. Dazzling Saint Tropez and villages

Gate 4 Tours

Discover Saint Tropez, this ancient fishing village which still has a strong character and an international reputation; alone, its name evokes cliches of beaches, yachts and jet-set parties full of celebrities. The painter Paul Signac in the 19th century and Brigitte Bardot in the 20th century contributed to Saint Tropez' popularity and fame. Stroll on the old port which is its real city center and admire the view on the gulf and the yachts. You could also book a 1 hour tour along the bay with the Millionaires' villas. Head then to one of the hilltop villages Ramatuelle or Grimaud which are perched on the living rock. Their old streets and vaulted passageways are a living illustration of the charm of the old Provence villages. Drive then to the "Venice of Provence", Port Grimaud, which was built on a former marshland in the Sixties. Discover the astonishing architecture which combines sea, sailing and living space. Canals are streets and boats anchor near to houses. Great pictures!

This review is long overdue. But when a friend asked me what they should do while in France I had to recommend this day trip with Yvonne. Yvonne tailor made our day so that my husband and I were able to see the things most important to us. Her knowledge of the area is truly wonderful. We were able to visit little villages, talk to the shop owners, taste incredible food and see sights we would not have explored on our own. Of course her Mercedes was very clean and comfortable. Yvonne is a warm and friendly host. The day spent with her as our guide was the highlight of our trip to France.
