After a day of visiting 3 different beaches in Rincon, we wanted to catch the sunset and get pictures of the El Faro lighthouse. It was not difficult to find using google maps and there's plenty of free parking. Near the lighthouse entrance was a lady selling jewelry for good prices so I bought a few gifts there. The landscaping around the lighthouse and park area is beautiful and there are benches, gazebos and photo ops all around. The bar area overlooks Domes beach below. The prices are decent and it was nice to enjoy a mojito and watch the sunset and the waves below. On this particular night there was live music. We enjoyed out stop here. Check it out and enjoy.

This was breath-less view of the ocean! Words cannot describe how beautiful it but it is must-see experience! When driving to the location, be careful of all the pot-holes though!

Hams Bluff Lighthouse

Reviewed By Cajuntrippers - St. Croix, Caribbean

Getting to the parking lot is the roughest part of the trip. The road is very rough; higher clearance vehicles are recommended. We traveled in our jeep... The trail was easy to find; a blue painted pallet points the way. Its all uphill to the lighthouse After about 20 minutes at a slow pace, you'll arrive at the top of the hill to enjoy the views. Don't forget to bring your camera; you'll want to share the views with friends and family!

Punta Higuera Light House

Reviewed By May_EXL - Winnipeg, Canada

Also known as Rincon Lighthouse or El Faro de Punta Higuero. No admission & lots of parking. It was a nice drive with some hilly narrow roads about 4km from the turn off of Hwy 115. The lighthouse is surrounded by a small park. It’s clean with lots of trees and places to sit. The lighthouse is made of concrete - 70 ft high. You cannot go up the lighthouse. The lighthouse is not the original one. It was rebuilt after it got damaged by an earthquake and then razed it years later after fire damaged. There’s also the Ola Sunset Cafe that’s a good spot to watch the sunset and the surfers on Domes Beach which is close to the lighthouse.

Cape Moule a Chique

Reviewed By Yolk - Toronto, Canada

I stayed at the Coconut Bay resort so did a hike to this place one afternoon, The road is steep at times but good all the way so not too hard. Just take enough water - or drive to save time. Note that the road forks near the end, one path leads to the lighthouse itself, the other - to another hill behind it. Both spots offer great vistas, one is better for viewing the bay and the ocean, the other - to look at the island. There are some nice viewpoints on the way too so if you are driving you might want to stop for a pic or two.

Punta Tuna Lighthouse

Built in 1892. It is located on the southeast tip of the island. This lighthouse integrates the system of lighthouses of the east with the lighthouses of the south of the island. Its structure corresponds to the neoclassical style.

It was not easy to find a proper entrance in days of Covid, and we ended up parking at a location north of the lighthouse at the ecological park entrance. It is worth the trip for the magical pictures at the beach, and the isolation! We visited on a Saturday during lock-down and met a clean up crew and a couple for the less than two hours we were there. The views of the lighthouse from the beach were better than from the lighthouse, but make this a stop if you are any where neat this place!
