Brittany (/ˈbrɪtəni/; French: Bretagne [bʁətaɲ] ( listen); Breton: Breizh, pronounced [bʁɛjs] or [bʁɛχ]; Gallo: Bertaèyn, pronounced [bəʁtaɛɲ]) is a cultural region in the northwest of France, covering the western part of what was known as Armorica during the period of Roman occupation. It became an independent kingdom and then a duchy before being united with the Kingdom of France in 1532 as a province governed as if it were a separate nation under the crown.

This is one of the main attractions on the pink granite coast. We were fortunate to be in a hotel right on the nearest coastal access point, the Saint Guirec beach, and it was an easy 5 minute walk to the nearest lookout where the lighthouse was in full view, and another few minutes of moderate walking to get to the lighthouse itself. The views are amazing and the whole area is incredible. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Brittany!

Very nice spot, not too crowded (due to Covid?) Beautiful view of the cliffs. Nice to have an easy walk (you can do more if you like!). To get up the lighthouse you have to pay 3€ but its‘ worth it. Parking fee is 3€ for 3 hours (longer stay not possible) and keep 3€ in coins ready,it‘s easier and faster to pay this way.
