The "Brentwood Library" is a brilliant combination of beautiful architecture/decorated rooms, a great collection of books, computer filled lecture rooms, a phenomenal children's reading room, a very helpful research desk and the Vance Little Room for genealogy studies.

2 floors plus a meeting, workshop, classroom and performance annex. For travelers wanting to catch on newspapers, read a variety of current magazines or access the internet, ple stations are available with print capabilities. The children's library is a real plus!!! Notable sections are audio books, large print books and a rather nice-sized DVD collection. There are numerous, and rather comfortable, reading locations. Don't miss some of the art displays. The library offers a wide range of monthly workshops, performances and children's activities.

While a typical library, books on the shelf, digital media, etc., it also hosts a reading program for children, several programs for adults, and an excellent e-book section. There are several computers for use with free access to the internet and a link to Ancestry for those researching their family. There are several areas with easy chairs for delving into the latest novel or simply sitting and relaxing.

The Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum is a department of Lincoln Memorial University and one of the largest Lincoln and related Civil War collections in the country. It is a mixture of history and art collections that focus on Abraham Lincoln and his over 150 year legacy. Several galleries rotate during the winter months. Weekday hours are 10 to 5; Saturday's noon to 5 and most Sundays 1 to 5. We close during the school year with schools academic calendar. Please see our web page or Facebook for updated information. The Museum is open seven days a week from March through November and only closes Sundays during the winter.
