Merritt Island is a census-designated place in Brevard County, Florida, located on the eastern Floridian coast, along the Atlantic Ocean. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 34,743. It is part of the Palm Bay – Melbourne – Titusville, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name "Merritt Island" also refers to the extent of the former island, which is now a peninsula.

Dolphin Family Tours designed a trip for a memorable experience with family and friends in a picturesque setting. A two-hour tour through the Indian River Lagoon with the intent of spotting various types of wildlife such as Dolphins, Manatees, coastal birds, and many other species, both native and migratory. One of the knowledgeable captains will lead you through the lagoon, maybe stop at a couple of islands, and share the many wonders of our unique ecosystem.
