The shrines and temples of Kyoto offer a rare link between modern life in the city and its very ancient past. The Shimogamo Shrine dates to the 6th century and seems suspended in time, its serenity and spiritual power still palpable. Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, then see the life-sized Thousand Armed Kannon statues of Sanjūsangen-dō. Enjoy traditional geisha performances, then savor a tranquil meal at a restaurant overlooking the Kamo River.

Ki Bar is a 3 floor BAR on Pontocho in the traditional part of downtown Kyoto. We have a bar on the 1st floor, lounge on the 2nd and karaoke on the 3rd. We offer beer, wine and Japanese sake and sho chu plus lots of cocktails, an amazing WHISKEY collection and NO cover charge. Food is also available. If you're visiting Kyoto for the first time, stop by if you need any sightseeing tips or restaurant recommendations. Just ask Shaheed or Diana - they're a wealth of information on Kyoto. This is a great place to come by yourself and make some new friends or even in groups - Fun for everyone!!! Non-smoking on the 2nd & 3rd floors.
Great staff, great customers, great company. We met interesting characters that made our stay in Kyoto, we had so much fun with Shaheed, Sean and special guest Archie! Small but cozy place, a must if you're in Kyoto! Nice choice of craft beers and local sakes (must try the Kyoto Martini). Definitely Recommend and will come back!
