This was a very good choice for a short stay in Tokyo. The hostel is very clean and well maintained. The staff speaks excellent English and all of them have travelled widely so they know how to make travelers feel comfortable. The common room and kitchen are fully equipped and there is free coffee and tea all day. You could easily prepare meals here but the nearby department store sells food so cheaply that it almost does not make sense to cook unless you are a larger group. The hostel is very quiet and there is not much of a social vibe. Quiet hours start at 21:00 and it definitely is quiet. Rules around removing your shoes and absolutely no visitors are strictly enforced. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm room (luckily I had it all to myself). There is an en-suite toilet, sink area and shower. There are small lockers for personal items and larger luggage can be stored at the desk. The neighborhood is really good. Close to the Senso-ji temple and with multiple small restaurants and department stores nearby. The Asahi Beer office is around the corner and a really nice little park runs along both sides of the Sumita River. Overall a great stay.

Khaosan World Asakusa, renovated from a love hotel in 2013, boasts rooms with colorful and pop unique decor. Free WiFi access is available throughout the entire property, and computers with free internet access are also available. Luggage storage is offered both before and after your stay. The popular Kaminari-mon Gate and Senso-ji Temple are situated within a 10-minutes’ walk, while Tawaramachi Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line is a 7-minute walk away. Tsukuba Express can be accessed from Asakusa Station, situated within a minute walk from the hostel. The hostel’s location provides an easy access to the Ueno, Akihabara and Ginza areas. Guests can also enjoy a visit to Tokyo Skytree, situated a mere 3-minute train ride away from Asakusa Station on Tobu Line. We have both mixed and female-only dormitory rooms, double rooms, Japanese style rooms for 3-6 people groups which are all air-conditioned with personal lockers. On top of the above, the hostel is equipped with a communal kitchen (free tea bags and powder coffee), a information lounge and a laundry room. Our guests can bring in grocery to cook meals in the communal kitchen equipped with utensils and cutlery. We welcome everyone travelling in Asakusa & Tokyo!
We love that the room was clean, cozy and looked as advertised. The staff initially got us the wrong room and went out her way to inform us and apologized sincerely for her mistake. The facilities are wonderful; I especially love the affordable washing machine and dryer to us, the kitchen where we could store and warm food and the great Wi-Fi connections. To top it off, it has a strategic location! 10 minutes from metro (a bit hard to find at the beginning, but once you know where it is, it's quite convenient), very close to the airport limousine bus stop and there are plenty of food and shops around you. Disliked · The room is a bit cold in the winter to sleep in, even with the AC blaring the strong hot wind, and there is a lack of hooks in the bathroom. Otherwise, great place to stay!

I was here for 3 nights and it was very good! The facilities are very good and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. All in all a very good stay! The only negative thing I can say is that there isn’t that much space in the kitchen/dining area so if there are other families etc. it can be very crowded.

Stayed in Room 305, a 3 Persons Private Room. PROS: The location in Asakusa was fantastic - a 4-minute walk to Tawaramachi Station, a 6-minute walk to Sensō-Ji Temple, and best of all, only a 4-minute walk to SEIYU in Asakusa ROX which is where you should go at night for discounted food! There is free tea, coffee, and water in the lobby 24/7 and the front desk provides one free mask per day. They provide shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. You can ask for toothbrushes and razors at the front desk for free. There is a communal bathroom and kitchen on the 6th floor, which you are welcome to use. Staff was very friendly and building was secured at night. CONS: The Wifi was very weak in the room, but worked okay in the lobby. The water from the shower leaks onto the bathroom floor so be sure to wear flip flops! The bed frames were a bit dusty and the view from the window was not great, but we cannot complain for the price we paid.

So hotels and hostels were pretty expensive at the time we visited, so we chose one of the highest rated yet cheapest place available in Asakusa. The staff are great and accommodating. They care a lot about their visitors and always ensure that they have a great stay. This place can be hard to find if you don't have a good map. I spent an hour or so trying to find this place. Other than that, K's house was one of my most favourite hostels to stay in Japan. Even compared to more expensive ones. Also, they give free ice tea, which was nice during the hot summer.

Khaosan Tokyo Samurai is perfectly located in Tokyo's historic center, with plenty to see and do within walking distance. Only 10 mins walk to Sensonji Temple, where there are heaps of street markets filled with traditional Japanese souvenirs and Japanese food.
When I arrived, they forcibly cancelled my reservation and arrogantly told me to go to a more expensive private room. It was late and I had no choice but to comply. The room was very small, dirty, old, windowless, and very cold. There was a heater, but it didn't work very well, and I was wrapped up in a futon and freezing. The futon was very thin and made my body ache. Moreover, the water supply was not working in that hotel. To my surprise, there was no staff there, only a cell phone to call. If you ever come to Japan, don't ever stay in a place with the name "Khaosan. I've never been treated so badly in my life.

We stayed at Kangaroo for 9 days in total and we were overall satisfied despite being an hostel. We had the double futon room and you get 1 hand towel, hairdryer and shoes for indoor, also you'll find shampoo, conditioner and body soap here. If you need iron or adapters you just need to ask for it. At the first floor you'll find a coffee machine and with just 100 yen you'll get what you want. Around the hostel you will find supermarkets, vending machines, small café and the train station (this one is around 10 minutes by walk, nothing impossible).the check in is from 4 pm, we arrived quite late (at 10 pm), we let them know and they waited for us. Unfortunately the room was very small and we had 4 lagguage.. It was hard to fit them in it

we forgot our luggage at hotel. We know it is our fault, we just ask them to hold it a while, until we can find someone to pick it up. At first they said they didn't find it ( we call them while we still at airport), after we already back in our country, i ask them twice until they said they found it. I ask them them to please keep it a while, we were trying to find someone who would go to japan and take the luggage. It is not easy. They said they give us time a month. But just one week they keep asking when we can take our luggage, is seems they trying to get rid our luggage. next time please be considerate, just put your position in ours. and you know our feeling
