The staff are extremely helpful and really want you to not only enjoy your stay at their house, but also want you to explore and discover the island(s). Each morning they asked what our plans for that day were, and they would draw us a map of the island with points of interest and hidden locations we could visit along the way. If you want to make the most of your trip to Ishigaki, you should stay here.

MyPlace is opened 2015 in Naha City, Okinawa, Japan. We not only offer you a comfortable stay, but also an unforgettable experience!! We are located right next to a boarding point for a boat to Okinawa’s famous Kerama-Shoto National Park, “Zamami” or “Tokashiki” islands. With just few steps, there is national road "route 58" that make it easier to drive around the main island by a car. (We have free car park!!) MY PLACE provides free WiFi throughout the premises. You will have a spacious common area that includes a fully equipped shared kitchen and a wide living room that you can use 24 hours. Be sure to check out our hammocks! A range of activities are offered with discounted price for guests at a tour desk on site, such as snorkeling, diving, parasailing, fishing, bus tour, and more. My Place offers varied types of rooms, fit for solo budget travelers as well as families or groups. Some rooms offer a relaxing harbor view.
It is a romantic, casual and warm place. I strongly recommend this guest house for long-term and short term stay.

It is 3 minutes on foot from Yui Rail prefectural prefectural station. It is a guest house with shared dormitory rooms and private rooms. You can also go to convenience stores, international street, beach within walking distance. It is 5 minutes by car to the ferry terminal (remote terminal) to the remote island.
Stayed 1 nite before continue our journey to the northern part. Difficult to find the location for the first time. We booked a bunk bed room without the toilet for 5 ppl. Luckily the public washroom is clean. Overall we had a good stay. Thank you so much. Stayed on June 2019.

I stayed here for a week at the start of September. It’s a cozy little hostel about 15 minutes walking from the ferry terminal. The bed was comfortable and the staff were nice. They did to spend most of their time in the back office but were quick to respond once you ring the bell. Their English level is minimal but most of their guests are Japanese so it doesn’t need to be good. There is a small kitchen with a fridge and microwave. The common area is also reasonably social. There is a locker per guest that stores valuables but nothing to store larger luggage. Showers were warm but cramped. Soap and shampoo provided. There is a laundry facility but I didn’t use it. Overall it is a good little hostel that I quite affordable.

Friendly guesthouse in Naha city, Okinawa. Just block away from the Bus terminal and Asahibashi station. Fully renovated with a sense of Japanese design and harmony. A good place for backpackers to feel like home in Okinawa. Please enjoy with us:)
The price is cheap, so don’t expect too much about the service or other things. *You have you make the bed by yourself, if you are sleeping on the top bed, you’ll know it’s really a difficult thing. *The Chinese woman staff is very unfriendly. If you accidentally overslept and pass the checkout time, she’ll come to your bed and yelling at you. *The stairs are steep. Each floor has a door require password to open, even the public area. They’re not using a sensor, so it means you have to memorize the passwords.

Kerama Backpackers is located on Tokashiki Island, an island in the Kerama Islands. The Kerama Islands were recently designated as Japan's 31st National Park as of March, 2014. Tokashiki Island is well-known in Japan for its coral and beaches, and you can enjoy various marine sports such as diving and snorkeling. Kerama Backpackers is the only hostel-style accommodation in Tokashiki. There are a mixed dormitory as well as a female dormitory, in addition to a Japanese-style private room with tatami mats. We also have a comfortable common room, kitchen, laundry, and shower rooms in the hostel. Please feel free to ask our staff about not only our marine sports plans, but also local information including sightseeing sites and nearby restaurants.
We stayed a night in this back packers on Toshisiki island. The owner Merino was awesome, helped us out so much. He made our stay better and helped us book a diving trip. There was great cooking facilities and the super market is only 1 min away.

This is a small and cosy place a short walk from the main shopping street in Naha. Room was very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was big, with lots of space for all your stuff. Shower pressure was very good. Baldo and his assistants - Maria, Fernando - were very friendly and helpful, and their friend Pietro is sometimes available as a tour guide/driver. He is a fount of information and has a good sense of humour too. Breakfast is filling and delicious - plus it changes each morning, so never gets boring. And the coffee is wonderful. Thanks for making my stay safe and wonderful.

You are welcomed by a monotone and annoying tune being played on the speakers and two grumpy old men. "Dorms" hold 88 (!) beds. Lockers for a surcharge! Also no luggage storage as usual. Comes at a massive surcharge. Worst experience in Japan!
