Reviewed By XiaoFPros: This hotel is definitly on the toplist in Zhangjiagang area with nice decor and it should be a good choice for Marriott members for either short or longer stays if service quality was not a major concern. Cons: Poor service in Zhangjiagang Kitchen. We had a buffet dinner which was promoted with hairy crab theme last week. Each person was served with a pair of hairy crabs and the quantities are limited to people number on the table. Crabs were served in a bad time, when we were almost full! We had to ask for a box to pack the crabs, not the other self-serviced food. However, the staff refused with a bad excuse ( they can only guaratee food quality on the premises, no food leaves the diner ) It was a very disappointing and awkward moment. They could at least have had the courtesy to honor the recent government campaign "clean the plate", but they don't! Talked to Marriott 400 hotline, filed a ticket and asked for escalation. No reply at all. This is unexpected and not acceptable.

Reviewed By Mihir BI stayed in Traders Plaza Hotel, an extension of Guomao Hotel. Was quite comfortable stay. The breakfast is served in Guomao Hotel dining room. The hotel is in city centre and very near to shopping street. Just outside the hotel, there is one very good Italian restaurant.

Reviewed By Crimon BUse to stay in this hotel up to 8 times a month. The room size is according to Chinese Standards. The breakfast has a huge choice and also some western typical food. The hotel is close to a shopping area in ZJG like Walmart and other famous brands.

Spacious, Comfortable, Lake View
Reviewed By Alleycat216This fairly new, spacious and modern hotel is located right along Shazhou Lake and offers recreational activities including kayaking and cycling. My room (which had a view of the lake) was clean and spacious with a balcony. There's a paved pathway for taking walks around the hotel grounds and along the lake; swimming pool; game room; a big lounge area and ample buffet serving both eastern and western fare. (You will probably want to take advantage of the workout opportunities after a visit to the buffet/restaurants.) The bed is comfortable; I didn't check out what was available on the TV. Five stars if you're looking for a place to rest, relax and get some exercise. Minus one star if you prefer a more convenient location where you can hail a cab.

Reviewed By eryc-octavianoThis hotel has a classic design, but it was good maintained. Room was clean and comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was the sliding door between the bedroom and the bathroom which couldn't be closed completely.
