Your Sat Nav will not get you here easily. Reception is dark and unattractive and all you can see is the top of their heads. It does not feel at all welcoming. Staff escorted us to our room because it is very complicated and involves 2 different lifts and walking through lots of corridors…..countless times over the next 2 days spent trying to find our room. Our room was large and had a separate lounge with sofa, armchairs and big t.v. There is another t.v. in the room but no English channels. Massive bathroom completely tiled with marble. There was an incredible view over the river and town and nesting Storks! At dinner staff made a few mistakes including taking our dessert order and 20 minutes later when we reminded them our waiter thought we had already eaten it! Bread was outstanding, had poppy seeds and sunflower seeds. Amuse bouche of puréed asparagus. Our starter was a plate of fantastic white asparagus with a mayonnaise. My main was Nape of Hake with potato dauphinois. Husband had Turbot which he didn’t enjoy as it had too many bones. Dessert was sliced apple pie with ice cream and he had strawberry sorbet with strawberry soup. The highlight of the meal was a freshly made traditional Cheese ice cream made at the hotel. I have never tasted any ice cream more delicious than that! At breakfast there were no bowls for fruit. We weren’t offered any cooked food such as eggs. Eventually we asked and we got scrambled eggs. You had to use the one plate that was on your table for everything and the service was terrible. We weren’t told there was a coffee machine and sat waiting to be asked if we want tea or coffee! The breakfast room only had a few people in it so they weren’t even busy. Hotel has a large swimming pool. It was empty of water when we stayed here.

Leave your care free parked in front of hotel, you will always find one if you can wait. Hotel receptionist Leave at 8PM, but you can reach them incase of emergency. Hotel furnishings is not a top dollar items but decorated with lots love and care. Clean and comfy beds. Breakfast weaknesses in the premaid egss, and the type of coffee beans, but they compensate that by other rich items available on buffe display. While in Zamora be aware to space your meals acordingly because restaurants open their kitchen at 7 PM. Special attention received by staff like sweet Patricia make our trip memorable. C U AROUND

Christina on Reception was Excellent! We arrived and the restaurant, including most of the town was closed to due to a public holiday. We were unable to find anywhere open locally to eat. It would have been helpful if the Marriott group had informed us of this upon booking, which included their restaurant. Like all negative criticism it snowballs into overall bad experience. In summary this hotel is a poor reflection on the Marriott brand

The NH Zamora Palacio del Duero hotel in Zamora, Spain, offers guests a prime location in the heart of the city's historic and cultural area, right next to the 12th century Romanesque church of Santa Maria de la Horta.
Hotel is located two minute walk from the Duero river where there is a path to walk/jog and view the city walls (from the outside) as well as the water mills. It is also located within a five to ten minute walk from main square (Plaza Mayor). Menu of the day at the hotel was of high quality on the day we had it. Perhaps a bit expensive by local standards but well worth it. Staff ranged between very helpful and a not so much. Like always and everywhere, it depended on the individul.

Dos Infanta hotel is perfectly located just meters from Zamora's main walking street and very near lots of busy bars and shops. The hotel itself is understated , nothing flashy or garish but spotlessly clean and comfortable. We had a room at the back of the hotel and while there wasn't much to catch the eye (a residential square), it was very quiet and guaranteed a good sleep. The staff were most polite and helpful and the whole experience was a pleasure. We will stay again when we next visit this lovely little city.

We called while driving from Madrid to Salamanca. We were going to drive past Salamanca to the spa, but the person working at the spa told us that we could come in later and it shouldn't be a problem for us to go to the spa even late at night. So we stopped in Salamanca and spent 4 hours there thinking that there was no need to rush. When we arrived, we were told that there was no availability that night and none the next day except at 8 am. And so we were stuck in the middle of nowhere with her three kids and nothing to do except sit in our hotel rooms. Oh and yeah about that relaxing night, while we have to set an alarm for 7 so that we can actually go to the spa in the morning. So not only do we miss out on going to the spa followed by a good night of sleep, but we actually have to wake up earlier than we would if we want to go to the spa at all. Funk dat

Good for one or two nights in Zamora. Very close to old town, yet location of the hotel itself not the most pittoresque. Free parking in front of hotel if you find a place. Very friendly helpful manager. Double room good. Double bed however very small, but we slept OK. We were above reception and above a bar, which gave some minimal background noise, but it became quiet in the night.

Placed in the centre of the town, beside the romanesque bridge,in the historic quarter of Zamora, the building is set in a renaissence palace of the XVIth century. It conserves the former jewish bath . All rooms with air conditioning and heating, flat screen tv, bath or shower hydromassage, It counts also with terrace garden, bar, tv room, a little gym and the hotel is decorated with baroque and renaissence paintings.
We really enjoyed our stay here, well located opposite the river next to the old walls. The location is excellent in relation to the main shopping street and large square. Staff were very friendly and helpful and parking was easy. Plenty of hot water, comfortable bed, lovely sheets and towels. The only niggle was patchy wifi.
